  • So when they build this $60 million monument during the time of war we're in, so the bigwigs in nearby Washington, DC can check it out --
...the next time a hurricane comes up that way, it's going to get damaged?

You know, since the Winona seminary opened in 1991 there have not been any natural disasters in southeast Minnesota or damage to the seminary building. No earthquakes, no hurricanes. Just the cold winters and hot summers that come with being in a very landlocked area :)

  • We're being asked to fund a new $60 million seminary, as news comes out that Bp. Fellay is asking Ecclesia Dei for more time to do a deal.

This essentially means newRome will take ownership of it.

Think of it.    Bp. Fellay is trying to sell us a dead donkey.

  • One alternative is that the Neo-SSPX can sell all of the non-producing chapel properties to get the funds for the seminary. I strongly believe that they will do that. They don't give a hoot about the faithful, it's about the numbers.

They are like a shepherd who during a drought abandoned the 50 lost sheep, so that he could fatten the others for sale.

  • Father Bolduc found a very nice already built building for Saint Mary's. Why could they not use an existing facility and fix it up to their liking? I can't understand it. There are plenty of properties up for sale that are already built that are suitable for what they're looking for. They don't need a $60 million building.
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • Are you sure that "it" is going to be a seminary?  "They" say it is, but is it?  It is true that "if" Pius X becomes New Order, all dioceses have been restructured.  This means any church/property may be sold, closed and mergers will take place.  There are very few if any men who would go to such a seminary in their right mind.  So, in my opinion see if you can research deep.  Who is financing it, approving of "it".  cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρ?  Sounds awful but in the times we are in, who knows?

According to Max Krah, it is being funded (to what degree we don't know) from the Jaidhofer Foundation. (as quoted in the Remnant interview with M. Krah)

    INTERVIEW;

Siscoe:  Another company name that is mentioned is Jaidhofer Foundation. Can you discuss this company?

Krah:  Yes, this is linked with the SSPX, and it is absolutely no secret.  There is a family in Austria which wanted to donate to the SSPX, but did not want to donate directly.  They wanted to establish a foundation that would support the SSPX.  And in every foundation you need some trustees.  It’s a kind of trust, and I am one of the trustees.  I was chosen by the family who established the foundation, firstly because I am a Traditional Catholic attorney with links to the SSPX, and secondly because of my professional record.  This foundation is supporting the SSPX and using the money which was donated by this family. As an example, it is supporting the new Seminary project in Virginia.  It has nothing to do with individual donations people give to the SSPX.  Everything we do is completely transparent.  We are supervised both by the General House of the SSPX, and by the Austrian tax authority, because we are philanthropic, and that means we are tax free.  We must always open our books to the public authorities.  So we have two supervisors, so to say, and everything we do is completely transparent and clean.

The Jaidhofer foundation story has been on the web for three years, but Msgr. Fellay has never came forth to explain it.

Now Max tells us it is "absolutely no secret" and "perfectly transparent".

Alrigthty... may we see the foundation's unabridged financials going back to origination?    Are they publicly posted in Austria ?

  • They are leaving Winona not for any practical reason but to blot out the memory of Bishop Williamson there.

What's going on is the Jєωιѕн takeover of the SSPX.

  • It gets worse ..... this Foundation handles legacies from an old Jєωιѕн banking family with links to the Rothchilds. I always thought there was something big Menzingen was keeping secret.

I will happily up thumb anyone who quotes St. Philip Neri.

  • Thank you for answering songbird!  I researched the foundation and links and well, is it true that Pius X was founded by masons?  Jєωs are involved and financial supporter groups are immoral.  If this is true, and I would not be surprised or shocked.  Now, if the people of Pius the X know of this, would they not leave.  Would they not questions validity of sacraments?  I see that Chapter 12 of Daniel is upon us.

  • I have to offer some thoughts on new vs old.  I have read, regarding the thinking for the new seminary in VA that the "old" seminary in Winona is outdated, needs repair, too small, etc. etc. etc.  And I believe that is true.  But, how did it get that way?  The "needs repair" is only due to the fact that systems which needed attention over the years were ignored.  Ignore one of the building system long enough (roof, plumbing, doors, windows, etc.) and you will have problems.  The simple solution seems to be "walk away from the problem and build a shining new facility with all of the latest and greatest systems."  That is my quote, not something I have read elsewhere.  While the new systems will work better, they will not last if not given the attention they need.  In fact, they will probably not last as long as Winona given the nature of current construction practices.  I say, fix and maintain what you have and add square footage if you need more space.  In the big picture, it will serve you better.

The Winona seminary property is a victim of "French management".

  • What will happen with Winona?  Will it go up for sale?

If it goes up for sale, perhaps Bp Williamson can get a group to buy it and start a new seminary!!! ;)
