I don't understand why the SSPX would seek out a NO publisher rather than publish the book itself. Having a NO "priest" write the forward made for complications, but what else would they have expected? Scroll down on link to "note on forward". They would have avoided all that if they had only done the job themselves. Any ideas?

They are embarrassed for what they were.

Having a N.O. publisher and foreword weren't the worst of the problems with this book, apparently. Fr. Robinson gave a copy of his book to the brother of a friend of mine. That brother is a traditional priest (not SSPX or FSSP, though). He was "heartbroken" to see that an SSPX priest could put out such a text: In the book Fr. R. says something about protestants having an unrealistic view of creation. But that unrealistic view described is the traditional Catholic view as well. I'm paraphrasing from a conversation with my friend, but I'm sure I got the gist of this right.

Does “unrealistic “ mean we believe in Adam and Eve?

I don't think it was that grievous. I think it was along the lines of the earth being created in seven days taken literally. I'm not sure. I'd like to browse the book, but I don't want to spend the thirty five bucks to do so.
