In battle, if the flagbearer goes down, another soldier quickly picks up the flag and steadfastly carries it forward, knowing that without it the army would scatter in confusion and defeat and the battle would be lost…
 
We would like to express our gratitude to our new webmaster, Mr. Brian Torsell, who “picked up the flag” of the WorldWide Resistance Rosary Crusade, and is helping us to continue on, especially in the technical department.   Thank you, Brian, for your generosity and expertise in revising and managing our website www.resistancerosarycrusade.com.
 
This past month has brought us through the midway point of our Resistance Rosary Crusade and up to the 4th Apparition of Our Lady at Fatima. On August 13th, Our Lady had come to the Cova da Iria, but the seers were not there…they had been abducted by the mayor of Ourem who tried to force them to reveal the secret they had received from The Virgin Mary on July 13th.
 
Perhaps some of us have been experiencing the “summer doldrums”, a point of low inertia, not much wind left in our sails – maybe our work, our families, our friends, our summer holidays have distracted us from praying our rosaries, and like the seers, we didn’t “show up” once or twice, but we can be sure Our Blessed Mother has been patiently and confidently waiting for us…
 
As she said to Lucia on August 19th, “If you hadn’t been detained, the miracle would have been even greater.”
 
She also recommended anew the practice of mortification, saying lastly, “Pray, pray much, and sacrifice for sinners, for many souls go to hell because there is no one to sacrifice and pray for them.”
 
We must keep fighting the good fight!
 
We must not allow ourselves to become distracted or pulled away into useless “side skirmishes”…a favorite trick of the enemy to divide and conquer.
 
We must stay united and focused on the work Our Blessed Mother has requested of us.
 
Oh, if only we could fully understand the true value of The Holy Rosary and its efficacy for souls…such a small effort on our part – such a great reward from Heaven!
 
Oh, if only we would fight as hard to keep praying our rosaries as the enemy fights to keep us from doing them!
