COME RIGHT IN! -- (7th Edition: September 3rd, 2013)

Dear readers,

 

I would like to wish you all a happy feast day of our patron saint, Pope Pius X, who has been a model of intolerance towards that “sewer of all heresies”: Modernism. The attitude of this holy Confessor and Pontiff has been radically opposed to that of Bishop Fellay and the Superiors of the Neo-SSPX. If these would be honest, they would change the name of their Institute to that of “Society of St. Paul VI”, since this modernist Pope will soon be “canonized” by his successor Francis. But I do not want to mar what should be a day of celebration, of joy, and of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving to God for having given His Church such a Pope, on the eve of the most terrible crisis His Church was to know.

 

Let us also thank Almighty God for two priests of the Society who, in the last month, left her to join the Resistance: Fathers Trauner et Sauer. Likewise for the conditional Ordination, by H. E. Bishop Williamson, of Spanish Fr. Juan-Antonio Iglesias, who went straight away from his diocese to the Resistance Movement. Fr. Iglesias did not waste his time trying out the watered down “traditional” Ecclesia Dei congregations, including the Neo-SSPX.

 

Another reason to give thanks to God is the real success of the Masses of the Resistance that were held in Levis, Quebec, just a few days ago. Indeed, on Saturday August 31st, there has been the Nuptial Mass and marriage ceremony of Mr. Alexandre Cormier and Miss Myriam Perreault, at the Moulin de Vincennes in Beaumont, five minutes away from Holy Family School in Levis. Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer, from the USA, who helps and sustains all who want to remain faithful to the work of Archbishop Lefebvre in its integrity. The next day, Sunday Mass was said at the same location at 07:30 AM. About 50 to 55 people attended each Mass, including an enthusiastic group from Montreal. All was organized by my good friend Roger Lambert, and his indefatigable wife Barbara (originally from Vancouver!), and a bunch of other friends from Levis. After the reception that followed the marriage, Fr. Pfeiffer gave a conference at Mr. Louis Cormier’s place (he is the father of the groom). He presented the development of the Resistance in the world, and he answered many questions. It was the second time a Mass of the Resistance was held in Levis (the first was on July 13th last). The movement seems therefore well started, despite the “strong arm” tactics of the Neo-SSPX superiors. It seems that there is still a “little remnant” of people who would not let themselves be intimidated by such bullying. Let us pray God to give courage to others...
