Okay, I just created http://www.truetrad.com If you can't access that name (it takes a few days for the name to work all over the internet after creating a website), you can reach the site directly at http://tradcat.nfshost.com/joomla

Currently, there is just a basic structure there with just a small amount of useful content. But at least the structure is in place.

So, for those of us on this forum who think that having a dedicated standard website (besides cathinfo) might help the effort to reach trads who are still "reachable", please please help me:

-- I would like to get ideas how to structure the menus, organize the website. What should be on the main page. How do you think the website should be organized? What are the main categories?

-- I would also like anyone's contributions for actual articles, etc. I promise as a Catholic to cite/credit you in whatever way you say, and to link back here to cathinfo whenever that is appropriate.

-- Anybody with cosmetic ideas, please chime in: You wont hurt my feelings to say "The banner is ugly. The color choices are ugly. Here's what you need", etc. I would like to put images, pictures, to make it attractive.

I am looking to complete and start advertising this site here in St. Marys, KS - in fact, soon enough to offer in-depth refutations to Fr. Rostand's latest fluff interviews...

some quick thoughts before tomorrow -

don't use red and white for the site. You don't want to give ammo to opposition that will say you are representing the Society or trying to confuse people. The blue is good but use something other than grey. A different script would be good too. Images relative to truth, battle, conquest of heresies, etc would be nice. Visual punch and presentation are important.

Once you get the categories down it will be easier to determine layout. Definitely one category for sermons from priests speaking out and a list of those expelled. The latter looks bad and needs to be noted as many places as possible. Not a priority (and your call), but I think a place for prophecies of saints and the Blessed Mother in relation to the crisis would be appropriate.

Keep the format simple. Most people don't like complicated. A Q and A format, point-rebuttal or something like that. Also, lists seem to go over well, like ten reasons for XYZ and such.

7) Declarations of SSPX Clergy Opposing the Deal

8) Lists of SSPX Clergy Expelled (Or In Danger of Expulsion) For Opposing The Deal

9) Anonymous List of SSPXers Supporting Clergy Holding The Line (Showing Current Chapel Attended)

another category - a list of previous trad groups who allied with Rome and how they were betrayed (Dom Gerard, FSSP, ICK, Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer, Instiute of Good Shepherd). Use their quote if available.

also, a list of the so called rumors that have been verified as fact, such as +Fellay admitting the Society must obtain permission of the local ordinary to enter the diocese.

Cristero, I have copied your very useful tranlsation of Fr's sermon tonite, and cited you. Thank you!

Catherine: I'll add the categories for other groups that compromised themselves, as well as the so-called "rumors" list.

Kelley - the Eleison comments is a great idea. I'll add it. I've also added Sts Pius X and Arch. Lefeb. to the banner.

By the way, in case the senders are reading this: I have 3 new messages in my "Messenger", but apparently because I am a new member, I cannot read them or reply yet! Very frustrating!

Please keep the comments coming! I think we're getting somewhere.
