SeanGovan, who are you asking?

Consider Father Themann's treatise on "No Crisis within the SSPX".

Did he actually write a treatise? Where is the treatise?

 Who are you quoting?

Perfect, SeanJohnson:

" 'Ambiguity is the language of the modernist,' and there is plenty
of it coming from Bishop Fellay.

But there is no ambiguity in the doctrinal declaration:

It is a sellout, and would easily be signed by the leaders of the FSSP or ICK."

The sword of Damocles hanging on the SSPX. That's why my joy is to read Monseñor Williamson's writings and remember Father Faure's teachings.

"Crisis Rarely Preached"

Crisis in the Church

Same at all of the chapels in my State. Nothing is mentioned about the crisis in the Church, or anything of substance. Everything is like Fr. Becks letter, hollow, with no direct application to the real world in which live.

Crisis in Our Everyday Lives

Nothing is mentioned about the  crisis in our everyday lives, or anything of substance. Everything is like Fr. Becks letter, hollow, with no direct application to the real world in which live. Our boys going down the drain, drugs, porno, video game addicts, our daughters going down the drain, having pre-marital sex, going out on dates by themselves, drinking alcohol, dressing like any other girl in the world. Our young men not having any job skills because the SSPX schools only teach liberal arts. Our young men getting married at 20 years of age with no means of support but their parents. I could go on and on with subject matter for instructive real world applicable sermons to help, to guide, the flock, enough to give a sermon EVERYDAY. And yet, we get NOTHING!

I go now to the SSPX chapels to get the sacraments, I expect no more. We are on our own as far as all of the problems around us. I can take care of myself. I pity the other parishioners, they are the blind sheep being led by the blind shepherd. I pity most their children, for they don't stand a chance!

Bowler,

You hit on point here that many of us have observed from the SSPX pulpits.
It's the hollowness of the neoSSPX priest's message.

Of course, they will pontificate about the Faith and holiness, but without the context of life in 2013.

Topics such as Rome's responsibility for the Church crisis, the obvious divisions within the SSPX, modernists, false doctrines, ʝʊdɛօ-masonic attacks... these things are mainly omitted.

Consider Father Themann's treatise on "No Crisis within the SSPX". Obviously, his superiors coached him in writing these half-truths.

What else can we conclude but that these shepherds are guilty of the sins of lying and omission?   Let us pray for the sanctity and perseverance of their collective priesthoods.

Dear Incredulous,

If you read this, could you please comment on how you would revise
this post, above, given  the revelation of the re-branding project
announced by Fr. Girouard?

I was reading some pablum on IA earlier today, and I had to quit
before I would need to dial 9-1-1.

The list is just too long for me to start.

This one post of yours is a data point on the time line, it seems to
me, so if you could just say a few words about how you would now
have something else to say about the changes in chapel sermons
over the past few years, that would be great.

The posts of tradical and johnmcfarland are most offensive to right
reason, and we really ought to be better equipped to put the lie to
their half-truths and innuendos.

For this, your reply here would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Neil,

Thanks for the request.  This topic has been on my mind too.

The SSPX sermon hollowness (SH) cropped-up in the Winter/Spring of 2009, from my observations.

Without being specific (to protect the guilty) I had regular communications
with a group of SSPX priests.  Some of these priests had very close connections with Menzingen.

Prior to 2009, it was always refreshing to hear one of them criticize newChurch or Pope Benedict from the pulpit. For example, Christmas 2008, Pope benedict was admonished by these SSPX priests for praising the UN.

As +W's 'αnтι-ѕємιтє" hysteria unfolded around Feb 2009, I noticed a chill in the air with these same priests.   To them +W was an embarrassment and they retreated to Bp. Fellay's dictum that the SSPX business and discussions should be limited to "Faith & Morals" only.

I noticed more and more priests, young and old speaking of +W in negative terms.

From this time on, the silence on critical comments of the Pope or newChurch increased.  In one homily, our priest said the "SSPX's duty was to convert the Pope"

This comment led me to understand that the SSPX's founding agenda of preserving the priesthood and defend the TLM and the Faith had changed.

So, it appears "branding" was conceived around this time.
+W's demise was the start of the New Brand.

Hope this is a sufficient answer.
