  • Bishop Fellay has announced a new Rosary Crusade.

    http://sspx.org/en/december-2013-superior-generals-letter-81

    2014 Rosary Crusade

    January 1 until June 8, 2014

    Goal: 5 million Rosaries
    1) To implore from the Immaculate Heart of Mary a special protection for the traditional apostolate;
    2) For the return to Tradition within the Church;
    3) For the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the consecration of Russia.

    Means:
    1) Prayer and penance as asked for at Fatima;
    2) Sanctification through the duty of state;
    3) Spirit of sacrifice in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

    Maybe all those Rosaries that were prayed were what caused Benedict to resign...

  • Lets see how this turns out. When he delivers the bouquets of rosaries to Pope Francis will he again try to "stygmatize" traditionalists as Pelagians?
    We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

    Which apostolate would that be? All of Tradition? or are we to ask Our Mother to intercede for one group in particular?

  • A return of Tradition within the Church. Can "the Church" depart from Tradition? Why not pray for the conversion of these APOSTATES to the Catholic Faith? What a wimp this +Fellay is.

    Maybe you're on to something....maybe he converted before he resigned. How the hell could someone say that he didn't? Or that he wasn't forced?

    The Rosary is a powerful prayer and I will join it despite Bishop Fellay not because of him

    There is nothing wrong with this in and of itself.  However, to agree to join the Crusade is like showing support to the Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter - a pseudo-Traditional group as is the new Society of St. Pius X.  Reparation can be made to Our Lady on the First Saturdays and through the daily praying of the Holy Rosary.

  • One should never demean the Rosary of Our Lady for the intentions which might prove suspect or worldly and especially when this cause has been betrayed in the past.

    There are many unquestionable and pious intentions that one can commit their Rosaries to which would please Our Lady and bring grace into the world and our souls..

  • I was never a big fan of the Rosary crusades. I always pray the Rosary of course, but I wasn't big on counting them and writing them in the booklet and handing them in at the end of the month.
    R.I.P.
    Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • When I was going to the chapel of the SSPX where I live, they required people to sign a boooklet keeping track of their rosaries and giving the name of the family.  I think they use this to keep track of their supporters.  They are now doing damage control after their one step backward.  They now have to  test the waters and compile a new list of supporters.  So devious!
