  • NEW MANDATORY RULE: THE PORTRAIT OF FRANCIS IN ALL SSPX PRIORIES

Since a couple of days ago, it became strictly required by Bishop Fellay to put the picture of the heretic pope on the walls of all the sspx priories!!!

    Original source: AVEC L'IMMACULÉE
    Spanish: NON POSSUMUS.

  • There should be a picture of the Pope in every sacristy and every religious house, that's a normal Catholic custom.

Is this new. I thought they already did that. They have certainly recognized the conciliar Popes in other ways and they have had a picture of the Pope in my chapel for as long as I have been going there.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

  • This has always been the case since I've attended the SSPX; JPII, BXVI were both on the wall. We aren't the CMRI, remember?

  • Not sure what the custom is in other countries, but it has always been the practice in the USA.

  • It wasn't an obligation, previously,  the priories were asked to put a portrait of the pope in their walls, but this request was not mandatory and the prior could do whatever he wanted.  Some priories did not put the picture of the pope. Now it became strictly required.

  • From a parishioner at my chapel (Edited to preserve anonymity):

    "Hi Sean,

Not sure where you got your information that it has always been the custom in the USA to have the picture of the Pope on the walls of the Chapels and Priories. It has not always been the custom. IHM never had the picture of the Pope until Fr. Beck was the Pastor..Some prominent parishioners were initially quite upset. I noticed just today that the same picture of Benedict...is still there - no Francis yet.

I was just in Oak Park and the picture of the Pope is not displayed in that Chapel."

Fellay seeks regularization.  Who can seriously deny it?  He is hell bent on achieving the goal of normalization with the false conciliar church.  If the present pope were an orangutan, you can bet that Fellay would still have his picture up in the vestibule of every chapel.

Would the faithful be encouraged to set up a table underneath where they could offer up bananas in his honor?
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • While we're at it, we might want to vandalize any statues we have of the Blessed Virgin, seeing as how she has defects and all*.  Perhaps a banner above Francis' picture declaring there is no Catholic God**?

I mean, why hold back when regularization is so close?  Surely Francis won't accept the SSPX without some sign of good will!

  • 3) I reject the SSPX system, where recognition of the Pope is merely illusory, where the Pope has a mere primacy of honor, and where the only noticeable expression of acknowledgment of papal primacy is to occasionally hang a picture of the current occupant of Peter's See, whom the SSPX erroneously holds to be the Pope, in sacristies of Society chapels and churches. However, the "proper and legal" authority for the Society, ultimately deciding what a Catholic must admit or reject in Church teaching, is the Superior General of the SSPX. Accordingly, the Society places his "authority" above the "authority" of the one erroneously held to be the true Pope.
