Fr. Ortiz has sent out an email transmission with devastating, "smoking gun" evidence that the Kentucky Fathers not only knew - like the rest of us and with ample certitude - that William Moran is a lying fraud and at best a member of a schismatic sect, but that they actually committed intentional fraud and misrepresentation by helping Moran cover his tracks.

Below appears the text of Fr. Ortiz's email transmission. My comments will be interspersed in blue. Color and bold emphasis added to Fr. Ortiz's text.

YOU MAY FORWARD IT TO ANYONE.

    Dear Friends,

There is more to the "Morangate" case...

A few days ago I came across with two new documents proving conclusively that William/Ambrose Moran is not a Catholic:

    1) A Letter of June 30, 1980 with the official apostasy from the Catholic Church of Ambrose Moran, the friend of Fr. Pfeiffer, given by Fr. Boghdan Bilinsky of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Toronto. "Basil" was another borrowed name used by William/Ambrose Moran in the past.

Here is a transcription of the letter, written by William Moran (here calling himself Fr. Basil Moran) and addressed to the Catholic Eparch of Toronto, Isidore Borecky:

    Quote
    REV. WILLIAM E. MORAN
    75 Thorman Avenue
    Hicksville, New York 11801

    June 30, l980

    Most Reverend Isidore Borecky
    Eparch of Toronto
    61 Glen Edyth Drive
    Toronto, Ontario M4V 2V8
    Canada

    Most Reverend and dear Excellency,

I am writing to inform Your Grace that I have submitted to the jurisdiction of Metropolitan Archbishop Theodosius of the Orthodox Church in America in order to regularize myself finally. I want to express my sincere thanks to you for all your help and kindness ln past years.

As I am in the process of being received into the Orthodox Church in America, a short note from Your Grace would be very helpful as I was under your jurisdiction for two years, February 14, 1974 to February 14, 1977, with permission to reside in the United States for the purpose of continuing graduate studies (letter No. 2/75 c., dated Feb. 14, 1975). A brief letter confirming this and stating that I am of good character would be appreciated very much. It could be sent through me. "To whom it may concern," or directly to the Orthodox Church in America P.O. Box 675, Route 25A., Syosset, New York, 11791, U.S.A.

I hope that Your Grace will rejoice with me in this solution to my canonical situation which can now finally be resolved. I kiss the blessing hand of Your Grace, and beg your prayers for myself and my humble work.

    Faithfully yours,
    [handwritten signature here]
    Fr. Basil Moran

Fr. Pfeiffer saw this document last year, even before me, but dismissed it as being a "forgery." By whom? This dismissal cannot hold when this letter is in connection with another one Moran received from Bp. Isidore Borecky in 1975 accepting him "on loan" (for a trial) for two years into the same Eparchy.

    Quote
In the 1980 letter Moran mentions specifically the dates during which he was attached to the Eparchy (02/14/1975-02/14/1977), which are mentioned in the 1980 Letter. Therefore, "Basil Moran" is the same "William/Ambrose Moran!"

Fr Pfeiffer denies that Moran has ever left the Catholic Church...

    2) Ambrose Moran publicly acting as "Metropolitan-Archbishop" of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in the U.S.A., while he met the Kentucky Fathers (from the website he closed down in October 2015).

    Quote
Ambrose Moran appears on three of the four pictures and his name is mentioned everywhere as being the actual head of this sect. Moran was the owner of this website (which some Fr Pfeiffer supporters denied) because he has the same P. O. Box on a list of registered voters in Colorado.

The screenshot was taken on October 5, 2015.  The website was taken down on October 14, 2015.  Gregory Taylor, Fr Pfeiffer's "consultant," affirmed that Ambrose Moran owned the website and that it was Fr. Pfeiffer who told Ambrose Moran to take it down. We can easily guess that Fr. Pfeiffer was concerned that it would cause confusion to people.

There is actually nothing to guess. We have the smoking gun. Fr. Pfeiffer lied to the public about Moran's ties to schismatic Orthodox groups, and conspired with him to hide evidence of this from benefactors and the public. This is actionable fraud of the most serious kind.

    Quote
This page proves that Moran, at the same time he was collaborating with Fr. Pfeiffer and claiming of being a Catholic, was the head of a schismatic sect. Therefore, Fr. Pfeiffer is voluntarily dismissing all the evidence against Moran, and continues to affirm publicly that Moran is "Catholic" (he mentioned it four times in a sermon given on January 7, 2016).

Finally, Fr Pfeiffer is alternating the celebration of the Mass with Moran at the same Mission he founded in Bennett, Colorado. The last time Moran said Mass there was last December 20, then Fr. Pfeiffer was on January 3...

This confirms that the Kentucky Fathers have not dissociated from Moran, as they falsely claim [they] have done in their Statement of last November 7.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear!

    Yours In Christ.

    Fr. JCO

The seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated.

Taken from Tradfly's forum. I would post from email myself, but I don't know how to do that. :confused1:

  • Why the Ambrose deception is still going on is beyond me. Is Fr. Pfeiffer's desire to find some alternative to Bps. Williamson and Faure so great as to blind him to the fraudulent nature of this so-called bishop? My goodness -- some mind's are completely unhooked from reality.

The significance of this new find is that it basically proves a wicked intention on the part of OLMC. Because it was explicitly stated the the UOAC website had nothing to do with Abrose. Now we are finding out that it was owned by him and that fr pfeiffer wanted him to cover it up!

No doubt "William E. Moran" stands for William Edward Moran (his real name).

    Aliases:
Basil, Ambrose, Amvrosij, Dolgorogky, Archbishop, Catholic... ?

It says near the bottom in bold that fr pfeiffer's consultant, taylor, affirmed that ambrose owned the website and that fr pfeiffer advised him to take it down.  That part was written by fr ortiz, it was not a commentary.

I know that this is an ugly post, but i just copy/pasted from tradfly.

You are assuming that Mr. Taylor gave the information to Fr. Ortiz, but this is not made explicit. You are jumping to your conclusion.
