    • Sure looks like it. It says "won't be released until December of 2012..." so that must mean that they can't print this "edition" of the "missal" because it's not yet in print. If it were the old one, why the wait?

    • By definition, any editing of the 1962 Missal would make it something other than the 1962 Missal.

    • It sounds like a normal 1962 missal, publication date delayed owing to technical difficulties. It can't be a hybrid because that hasn't been released yet, if it's even been created. The "editio typica" in Latin has to be promulgated first by the Vatican with a date for "permission to print". They can't fit all that in before 1st December!

     Yes.  Wouldn't it then be the  Missal?  Apparently numbers are not the Vatican's strong suit.    :wink:

    • Recently Baronius Press was offering steep discounts for bulk orders of their 1962 Missals.
    It sure seemed like they were trying to flush out current inventory (while it still had "value"?)

    Wish they were discounting 1954 Missals.

    I have never cracked a 1962 Missal in my life, even when I was lip-synching the dialogue Mass at the seminary.
