Name of Irish cassock tailor?

  • When I was a seminarian, I bought a nice Irish tailored cassock (I ended up only wearing it twice, because I get hot easily...I wore my Toomey Summertime Cassock most of the year, including during the fall and spring, but that's another story).

But now I can't remember the name. I'm looking to sell it, so I can take the money and buy something useful for the chapel I'm trying to build up.

I figure having a name would really help. Google hasn't been very helpful.

It was THE Irish tailor (that made hand-tailored cassocks) used by St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary back in the early 2000's. Maybe someone out there knows the name.

I have a couple other cassocks too that are "thicker" a.k.a. not for Texas altar boys. I have 3 total I think. If anyone wants to buy a nice dressy cassock for a priest or seminarian who isn't very tall, please let me know.

I have sashes to go with all of them. These thicker dress (as opposed to casual) cassocks have scarcely been used; like I said I got 300X as much use out of my $70 Toomey Summertime cassock. As a matter of fact I still have the latter, and wear it whenever I'm the only available server.

The cassocks were made for a 5'7" man.

These guys would make you a papal cassock if you asked them to.

That's got to be it -- considering you were there during my "era". And it figures you would have gone with the Irish one...hahaha.  I recall there were two "high end" options for cassocks.

Anyhow, perfect -- exactly the information I was looking for.
