And sorry I'm not trying to knock Bishop Z but there is hardly anyone at that sunday Mass compared to the size of the Church.

Maybe there was when you went there for that special event, but not usually.

Obviously you know I support the resistance, but I'm not going to pretend things are rosy, when they're not.

Bp. Z has his reasons why he doesn't want to plaster everything all over the Internet, and intelligence/prudence has a lot to do with it.

You haven't lived the life of a Traditional bishop trying to build up the Church and preserve Tradition and the sacraments. There are challenges and obstacles you couldn't imagine -- ignorance is bliss.

It all seems so simple to you. A lot of us might THINK we know what to do, what should be done, like it's all cut-and-dried simple and easy. But it's easy to back-seat drive, Monday morning quarterback the situation, when you aren't involved yourself.

Strictly speaking, you (and others) have no clue what challenges Bp. Z faces on a daily basis.

There is zero chance the SSPX decided to publish the names today to "bury" news about an altar, no matter how beautiful.

I'm Mexican and I don't really care if the Bishops-elect speak Spanish or not. We still have +De Galarreta, and one of the four can be stationed in La Reja to learn Spanish with their awful Argentinian accent (jk).

I'm more interested in hearing what Fr. Chazal, +Thomas Aquinas, and +Faure have to say about the four future Bishops.

(Giuseppe Sarto was even elected Pope (Pius X.), despite not being fluent in any living foreign language other than his native tongue.)

That is pure cope. The world was a vastly different place in the early 1900's. The fact is that +ABL selected priests who were multilingual and strategically covered the world with +Williamson, +De Mallerais and +Galarreta. His choices seemed very calculated and rational.

Which makes sense, given A) the limited number of bishops to be consecrated, and B) the scope of their work: namely, the entire world.

The Neo-SSPX seems to have other priorities now, namely: youth, being a "company man", their politics or position on Rome, etc.

This is shocking.  But the sspx leadership has always been partial to germans/french.

So, recall that Bishop Galaretta is still out there, and in Mexico you have the +Carmona / +Zamora lines, etc.

BUT ... it's surprising to me that within the UNITED STATES, where you have many, many Spanish-speaking immigrants in the southern portions that would benefit from a bishop who was fluent in Spanish, in addition to English, and a touch of French perhaps for some French Canadians and to speak with the "mother house" and the other bishops / superiors, since French is in fact the, well, uhm, "lingua Franca" of the SSPX.

It would certainly have made sense to pick someone who's fluent in both English and Spanish, as well as could speak some French.

I think that these are "show" selections, though, and that they still have some trick up their sleeves.
