1. The SSPX promised to release the names in June. They released them 6 days early. Why? Some say it's because the Chartres Pilgrimage ended today. Others say it was to bury the news about Bp. Zendejas consecrating a beautiful Gothic marble altar in his newly constructed church. The consecration of the altar happened on the morning of May 25th. The SSPX released the news late on the 25th (in France) and 8 hours later in the USA. Trying to bury this news? Trump attacked Iran to distract attention from the Epstein Files. And it works. It's 100% human nature. It's completely effective on 98% of the population.
2. The Consecrandi are much less educated than the Archbishop's choices in 1988. Especially in terms of languages spoken. Mostly we have French and English speakers, with one German speaker. Go re-read the official announcement from the SSPX. They are trying to play up the languages spoken for all its worth. But as an almost-polyglot myself, I know just how much "studied Spanish" means, and what it doesn't mean. Fr. Goldade, for example, speaks English and understands "enough" Latin. But even Latin, he wasn't a "Latin nerd" at the Seminary. He never went on the "Latin walks" with the nerds. Maybe he's learned a bit since then; who knows. But people 25 and up, especially busy priests or fathers, only have so much time to study languages.
3. Completely ignored and left in-the-lurch: the Spanish-speaking world. If I was the appointed Spanish-speaker in a group of teachers, I would tell the students to feel insulted. I've studied Spanish off and on for years, but I wouldn't consider myself fluent. I would need some time to get all the rust off, and get the rest of the way proficient. Spanish is the 4th most popular language in the world, with English being #1. French is only #6.
4. Ladislaus pointed out that St. Marys provides a lot of support and revenue for the SSPX. Imagine the effect if people stopped and thought about, or realized, just how faithful Bp. Zendejas was to the cause of Tradition. Especially when considering the 5th point...
5. Bp. Zendejas new chapel has a new altar that is objectively superior, in every way, by every possible measure, to the main altar at the $50 million dollar Immaculata church recently built in St. Mary's KS by the SSPX. The Immaculata has NO stained glass windows. Even the Stations of the Cross are some kind of iron-ons for the walls, not antique 3D statues coming out from the wall, as in the case of Bp. Z's new chapel.
The SSPX better watch out. The Resistance is resisting strong and preserving Tradition in the tradition of Archbishop Lefebvre. And Bishop Zendejas isn't done, God willing! He has many plans, which you will see when they happen.
