2019 Auriesville Pilgrimage
« on: June 04, 2019, 08:35:00 PM »
Pilgrimage to the North American Martyrs, Auriesville, NY

For the Auriesville Pilgrimage on Saturday, June 15, 2019 we will start off at a small town playground on the end of Dufel Rd. Dufel Road begins on 5S nearly opposite Karen’s Ice Cream and Produce Store on 5S. It is on the north side of the road and proceeds over the pilgrim path (former railroad right-of-way) and it looks like a private driveway but is an actual road.

The kickoff point at the playground is only 2 & 1/2 miles from the shrine so we will walk the 2.5 miles up to the Basilica go around it and head back to the town playground/Park for Mass. Kickoff time is at noon at the town playground.

It is important that we bring our own water and food for our individual families and ourselves; in fact you might bring a little extra for those who may have forgotten or did not have the foresight to do so. Also bring along your old pilgrim handbooks which many of you may still have from past pilgrimages to help with prayers and hymns along the pilgrim path.

The entire event, i.e. assembly, kickoff, return, Mass, and disbursement will conclude by 5 PM.

It is a one day event.

No, because New York is too far away for me. I know that sounds like an excuse, but keep in mind I don't travel much for *any* cause. My last several plane trips have been "on official Resistance business". I haven't even visited my family in Illinois since 2007.

I posted this on behalf of Bp. Zendejas.

I wish I knew earlier, I would’ve tried to make arrangements. I’ll be keeping them in my prayers.

Very understandable, just thought it would be nice to meet you.
