A new look for the SSPX
...
How did we decide on this new format? Below you will find a brief response.
Who are we?

Before beginning these renovations, we asked the basic question: What is the SSPX all about?

Under this broad heading, we drew up 160 more specific questions. For example, we considered: Which key words could define the SSPX? What is the reason for its existence? What makes the SSPX special and unique? Does the SSPX have any enemies? What image does the SSPX project today? How do others recognize the SSPX? What kind of audiences are we seeking to reach?
Four hallmarks

As we answered these questions, four main qualities repeatedly factored into our answers:...

There is only one word that summarizes this bolstering - PRIDE!

Just think about what's being presented here. What does it mean when someone has to ask, "we asked the basic question: What is the SSPX all about?" The founder of the Society left them with a very clear direction. The question has only been asked, because they no longer wish to move in the direction he left them with, hence, they needed to 'reinvent' themselves.

I know of much smaller projects where the owners left it to the builders to carry out the work without professional supervision ..... and they got ripped off with a significantly higher bill to pay. And of course we hear of large public projects where the final cost is many times the original estimate because of clever clauses put into the contract by shrewd operators. The hideous modern Scottish Parliament building started out being a £40 million contract and ended up costing .....wait for it ...... £400 million! And there are tens of millions spent annually to correct faults. Will someone please blow it up!

The correct procedure is to employ a team of architects to project manage the job and sign off the work in progress at the end of each stage and approve a stage payment. This is the only efficient method of working..... once people of integrity are appointed.

There is a post today by Neil Obstat mentioning Testigos de Jehova (can't find it now):

A Testigo de Jehova was appointed first graders teacher at the school of La Reja Seminary (Argentina) because they couldn't find a Catholic teacher.

New Internet Platform for the SSPX

Over the past two years, much time and energy has been devoted to renovating our avenues of communication, both in paper and in electronic publications. The main purpose of these efforts has been to provide easy access to clear, authoritative information concerning the SSPX and its apostolate.

In the past, the communications network of the SSPX has been criticized as vague, inconsistent, lacking synergy and hierarchy. Often people could not find the information they were looking for, and they lost interest. Additionally, the numerous publications of the SSPX have varied greatly in content, tone, look, and feel, and this variety of expression caused confusion and even commotion.

Core information about the SSPX, about its key concerns, and about its essential mission in preserving the Catholic priesthood has not always been easy to find.

In order to remedy these problems, the districts of the U.S. and Canada, working under the guidance of the General House, have improved their means of communication so as to present more clearly the unchanging message and mission of the SSPX.

The first fruits of these labors were a revised Angelus magazine and updated district newsletters: the Regina Coeli Report, Ad Orientem, and Convictions. Now we are proud to launch a new SSPX Internet platform. Several other projects will follow in the future.

All these renovations seek to highlight the essence of the SSPX and its mission, to make our work easier to recognize and to understand.

This is just a bunch of jargon to promote a new-sspx religion; and "disguise" it with different banners.  Along with, so no one will notice, to get rid of the "old stuff" within this new distraction, then use it to inject the "new orientation".

It seems to me that this has been planned for a while, i.e. branding.

Take for instance, that 2012 conference in Kansas on the "Papacy".  It seem to be timed and calculated to coincided with Bishop Fellay's new "practical deal" with conciliar Rome; until it got squashed by a strong Resistance!

It is all coming together.

Speaking of "practical deal(s)" there seems to be three groups who have an opinion about deals. One party states that +Fellay made no deal with Rome, another says that he did and still another says he didn't but acts as if he did. :confused1:

A "deal" is an issue but part of a bigger problem with the SSPX. The Irish laity are like St. Thomas. They doubt. They need evidence of a betrayal by Bishop Fellay. In their minds there is no need to leave chapels yet. Besides where can they go? The priests have remained silent and laity like orphans.
