Fr. Hewko still firmly red-lights Fr. Zendejas

Hello to all.  I am new to this Forum, although I've been reading it for a couple of weeks. I became interested in The Resistance after reading something about it on the internet last winter, and we considered attending a Mass. However, I balked after watching a couple of Father Pfeiffer's videos, mainly because he didn't make the Sign of the Cross on his forehead, lips, and chest, before a Gospel reading. This happened on camera a few times anyways, and I felt aside from that, unfortunately, that the attitude conveyed was more slapdash than devout. Sorry, but that was my impression.

It has also been my understanding for quite a few years now that the SSPX has an unfortunate record of pursuing monetary disagreements with priests in various locations across the country. I  came across instances more than once online, as well as anecdotally in personal conversations. Is it true that some former SSPX priests have had serious financial difficulties like this, through 'misunderstandings'?

Recently reading the letter of Father Voigt and reflecting on the thousands of dollars of his own money he generously advanced to keep the Kentucky seminary functioning, and the 'thanks he received'.... I ask myself if these kinds of situations are unusual, after all.

So if the conduct of former SSPX priests, namely Fathers Pfeiffer and Hewko, appears disappointing to some now, I am not too surprised.

Saddened also, as once I myself had hopes that The Resistance would be a place of refuge for believing Traditional Catholics.

We are very happy now that we stayed away.

There are many things out there, on this site and others, that convey only part of the story on any given situation. There are few willing or able to go further than what is presented. I do believe that many of the situations presented here are not as they seem, as there are too many willing to base their writings on speculation and ones own thoughts on the matter at hand, and not enough on objective facts. They act on an incomplete database and a strong bias. This has caused much damage within the resistance.
