  • Since none of our comments are permitted at Rorate Caeli, I suggest posting their comments on CathInfo and having a field day responding to their stupid comments. I'm sure they will read them and maybe learn something. They will never learn anything being led by the blind, and what is worst, the moderators such us New Catholic are there to keep them ignorant and in line. How about it!

    Müller: various German reactions
From the Berliner Morgenpost, which rounded up opinions expressed by several sources:

Church critic and Tübingen theologian Hans Küng spoke of [the appointment as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith] a "disastrous miscast."
        ...

Müller - a native of Mainz - was, since 2002, the shepherd of the diocese of Regensburg. The 64-year-old is highly regarded among theologians. He is also a hardliner on the clergy. He has often attacked church critics with sharp words. "I am not addicted to conflict - but not addicted to harmony, either," he once said....

The German Conference of Catholic Bishops (DBK) announced to be "very pleased" with  the pope's decision. "The German Conference of Bishops is proud that one of its members will be in charge of this important task in the Roman Curia," said DBK Chairman and Freiburg Archbishop Robert Zollitsch. Müller is one of the "most distinguished theologians of our time." ...

On the other hand, Catholic theologian Hans Küng in Tübingen spoke on Müller calling the appointment "of prefect of the Congregation of narrow-minded agitators is out of place." ...  "With Müller's appointment, conflicts in the Roman Curia and within the  scandal-ridden Church are preset." ...

Alois Glück, Chairman of the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK), spoke up against criticism of Müller. "Bishop Mueller is a world-renowned theologian with a much wider range of opinion than suggested by many," Glück said. "He is deeply committed to ensuring that the Church cares about social justice."

        ...
The lay movement "We Are Church" wished Müller "God's blessing" in his new task, but declared that his Regensburg time made for a bad precedent: "With the dismissal and exclusion of elected lay people from diocesan bodies, and the strict discipline regarding critical priests, he promptly established a climate of fear and servility in his diocese," "We Are Church" said in their message.

Absolutely Marie, you're right on target and I'm all for it!

One point which needs immediate attention is: "If Kung says Muller is a disastrous miscast, he must be okay." Yea, sure. It's nothing but 2 heads of the Hydra snapping at each other.

Another gem was: "I share the misgivings ... - however I have learned to trust the judgement of Pope Benedict XVI - so I'll give him a go, for the Holy Father's sake."
Wherever could she have possibly learnt to trust Benedict's judgement?

That was the same mentality in the 60's that brought us to the general apostacy we are in today. Specially when it comes from the clergy. Is this "Fr. A.M."  really a priest?  :fryingpan:

Thank you, ultrarigorist, it's fun to be able to vent.

  • Rorate now has a piece up about how laymen cannot judge Bishops. That's right Catholics, submit to your heretical bishops! Honestly, do these types want the Church to be a tyranny?

It would have been a better idea for them to quote the Baltimore Catechism on this instead or even cuм ex Apostolatus Officio where it states that heretical prelates are not owed obedience.

  • Was it not a layman who first confronted Nestorius?

Well said. Isn't it funny how it always comes back to false obedience for these people?

I'm all for it.  I expect they'll retaliate via the ratings system if they haven't already.  It would be nice if the system could be disabled or at least the posters' names attached to the likes and dislikes.  That would keep honesty in check and weed out the troublemakers.

Look at this comment Rorate put up:

    Quote
Dear friends, just to settle this: you may do whatever you want in your houses and elsewhere. Here you cannot call bishops "heretics". It is out of place. We do not want it. And it takes time away from moderation. So simply do not do it, do it elsewhere.

You are now informed and this matter is closed for discussion.

    Thank you.

I do not know if NC the convert has truly mastered Catholicism or perhaps he has an agenda.  I cannot read his mind so I cannot say.  Regardless of his motivations, the spirit of modernism has made obedience the supreme theological virtue.  It has to in order to succeed.  The problem is that the average Catholic is so uneducated they fall for it, even trads I've met.  Few people want to know.  Most want to be relieved of the burden of responsibility, told what to do and tend to the mundane in life.

    Sad but true.

Yeah, this just further demonstrates that New Catholic(NC) is really a Neo-Catholic who is trying to pass himself off as a Traditional Catholic.

I'm also fairly certain that the passage from St. Ambrose has more to do with relations between Church and State than between laymen and bishops.

  • These men make me sick with anger.

They are censoring the truth at this pivotal time in the history of the Church.

    And they are so numerous.

All over the internet, and in pulpits throughout the world, these BETRAYERS of the truth have free reign.

We are truly fortunate to have CathInfo, where you can actually speak the truth without being banned!!!
Francis is an Antipope. Pray that God will grant us a good Pope and save the Church.
I abjure and retract my schismatic support of the evil CMRI.Thuc condemned the Thuc nonbishops
"Now, therefore, we declare, say, determine and pronounce that for every human creature it is necessary for salvation to be subject to the authority of the Roman Pontiff"-Pope Boniface VIII.
If you think Francis is Pope,do you treat him like an Antipope?

Not only did Eusebius of Dorylaeum confront Bishop Nestorius, he did it during a sermon.
