"On Sunday, September 28th, 2014, Mgr. Richard Williamson graciously blessed the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows in County Longford in the Republic of Ireland. An independent traditional Catholic chapel, its construction has taken little more than a year, and its aim is to defend, maintain and witness publicly to the Catholic Faith in line with the generosity of soul and indomitable courage of Archbishop Lefebvre.

In the presence of 100 faithful, drawn from the four provinces of Ireland, Mgr. Williamson sang the Holy Mass along with the choir led by Fr. Craig Bufé, who serves the chapel on a monthly basis for the moment. The ceremony was followed by a very powerful conference, which demonstrated the abject condition of both the Church and the World - necessitating, said Mgr. Williamson, a heroic example of fidelity to Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in these extraordinary times".

  • It's beauty gives glory to God.   I am planning my first trip "home" to Ireland in May, to visit family that my brother found with diligent root tracing and countless visits.   I'll put this chapel on my list.

  • Way a Catholic Church should look like, and not a masonic temple.
