Title: Menzingens Silence is Deafening Indeed
Post by: Skunkwurxsspx on September 26, 2013, 08:00:09 AM
I understand the folks at The Remnant, the quasi-traditional publication, are preparing an open letter to Pope Francis regarding his latest scandalous interview during which he painted the Church as being too "obsessed" with the key moral issues we all know about.

Their wimpy intent to take the "safe" route of merely requesting a "clarification" of what the pope meant (sort of like asking the thug who's about to blow your brains out what he exactly "means" by that) notwithstanding, I dare ask, where is Bishop Fellay's open letter to the pope?

Since when does a pope-excusing, quasi-traditional, Mickey Mouse publication take the initiative ahead of the religious congregation that purportedly claims to be the (sole) guardian and protector of the Faith during this time of crisis?

Let me guess: Menzingen is working feverishly on a polished, "re-branded" piece that labors to find the "positive" side of that treacherous interview!

But don't you still support the neo-SSPX by attendance at their Masses?

I think the point is that the average layperson can see what's going on and call it out, but the clergy seem to just accept it like sheep. Almost as though the roles are reversed and it is the sheep who  must do the shepherding. Just a guess.

"But the hireling, and he that is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and flieth. And the wolf catcheth and scattereth the sheep. And the hireling flieth, because he is a hireling, and he hath no care for the sheep."
--St. John 10:12-13

I quote this because members of the SSPX looks to Francis, a hireling, as their shepherd, but Francis has absolutely no concern for them whatsoever. It's simply the logical result of their untenable position. I believe Menzingen is silent because it knows that Francis won't respond to its bleating, which will make it look more foolish than it already does (if that be possible). Benedict XVI at least threw them a bone; Francis just fiddles while Rome continues to burn.

Bp. Fellay is a hireling, as well.  I will state my categorical belief that he cares little for his neo-sspx sheep.  Francis and Fellay are birds of a feather.

No argument here.

Back when I was first making the transition from NO to Tradition, I started a subscription to The Remnant. I had a friend who subscribed to The Wanderer. He would jokingly call my paper The Residue, whereas I would call his The Blunderer. Turns out we were both correct.
