The accusations have been used in the German press and politics to try to negatively associate the AfD with China and discredit the party and Krah.

Dr. Maximilian Krah, born in 1977, studied law in Dresden after graduating from the Dresden Kreuzgymnasium and completing his military service, where he passed his first state law examination in 2002 and his second state law examination in 2004. In 2011, he obtained his doctorate in law with a comparative law thesis on company acquisitions.

Dr. Krah expanded his expertise by participating in the Global Executive MBA program at London Business School and Columbia Business School (New York) from 2010 to 2012, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

As a lawyer, Dr. Maximilian Krah has gained extensive professional experience, in particular as a supervisory board member in Germany and abroad. He has provided business and legal advice, developed contracts and articles of association, litigated in civil, commercial, corporate, employment and tax law, assisted in out-of-court negotiations and has an extensive practice in press law. His mandates often extended to Eastern Europe.

From 2010 to 2012, he pursued postgraduate studies in economics at Columbia University in New York in cooperation with the London Business School, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration degree.

Since his admission to the bar in 2005, Dr. Maximilian Krah has been a partner in a law firm, Weiler Krah Petersen. Between 2006 and 2018, he held various supervisory board and board of directors mandates in Germany and Europe.

Politically, Dr. Krah started out as a Christian Democrat and switched to the AfD in 2016. The reason for this switch was the opening of the borders in 2015 and the associated mass immigration. His decision was based on the realization that, in his opinion, the CDU does not represent conservatism, but rather neutralizes it.

Dr. Maximilian Krah has been Deputy Chairman of the AfD Saxony since 2018 and has represented the party as a member of the EU Parliament since 2019. This political position enables him to further develop his convictions and commitment at European level.
