-- Fr. James Peek. A very intelligent and holy priest.

    Yes he is.

Fr. Peek is a most venerable priest!  He may well need extra prayer....may I suggest that we pray for him.

  • I certainly will Gail.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

Many liturgical "experiments" took place in France in the 1950s prior to Vatican II, so perhaps poche has jumped to the conclusion that CI posters condemn every French priest???!!!  It sounds to me like he is trying to start a fight as opposed to intelligent debate and argument.
Fr. Chazal is French.  Does that make him a liberal infiltrator?

I am not trying to start a fight. The title says "Most professors in SSPX seminary NEW or FRENCH"
It has been my observation that there is a very strong "resistance" movement in France. So I was just asking?

Many years ago in response to my written request Fr. Peek most kindly obtained a Roman Breviary for me and mailed it to me all the way from Winona.  Since then every day when I open that fine old Breviary I have thought of him and said a little prayer.  In our several correspondences he struck me as the most exquisitely humble and modest man I have ever known.

Henceforth allow me to join you and say some additional prayers for him as well.

  • Give the dancing banana a chance - it makes me laugh, so much in this world is sedated (mediocre) already!

  • Sadly, I find the dancing banana the most approriately ridiculous image to fit discussions involving the conciliar church, and the destruction wrought by modernists.   Gallows humor, I suppose.

Much more important, however, prayers for Fr. Peek.

  • Yes that right, even though I suggested prayers for Fr. Peek, I inadvertently trivialised it, by complaining about the banana.

Prayers for Fr. Peek are definitely  more important!!

    God bless
