Is there Masses of the Resistance in Texas?

I don't thing the Resistance Forum was intended to be for asking about Mass centers.  None the less, there is yet to be established a Mass center in Texas for the Priests of OLMC on a regular basis.

First of all, just to clear things up: that's a 100% perfectly legitimate question for this subforum.

LKCTexas is right, though. We haven't had Mass here in a while, and it's not for lack of support/interest/local organized Resistance, or even lack of permanent (non-rented) location for Mass.

If I had to blame anything, I'd blame A) lack of Resistance priests and B) our geography. Texas is very remote from everything else in the USA; it's such a huge state. And while it sports the only substantial Resistance center in Texas, San Antonio has a second-rate airport (read: not a "hub" like Chicago, Dallas or Houston) despite being in the Top 10 cities by population. So flight choices are more expensive/limited when flying in or out.

If Houston, Austin and/or Dallas had a viable Resistance group, Father could make a circuit out of it and say Mass in several places, driving between them. But as it stands, only isolated S.A. has an organized Resistance (Dallas gets visits occasionally because of 2 large families there, one of which had a seminarian in the Boston, KY seminary for a while).

Texas, huge???  That is an understatement  :roll-laugh1:  It's over 800 miles across and takes close to 13 hrs at 75 mph to cross, that's if your lucky and you don't have a fuel pump fail on you 100 miles from the nearest mechanic, or a tire blow, or...
or...
or...
all at least 100 miles from whatever it is that you need  :surprised:

So far I've driven it twice this summer, with at least one more round-trip before the end of the year!

I do however love the hill country :alcohol:
