There is so little truth in this summary, it's scary.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSPX_ResistanceFr. Pfeiffer was elected superior by a handful of priests in 2012, but it wasn't like the election of a Pope, where the elected term is "for life". No, it was for TWO YEARS ONLY, which have long since elapsed, and there hasn't been an election since.
But Fr. Pfeiffer isn't the head of "The Resistance, in any form, any group". What, was he personally anointed by an apparition of St. Peter or Our Lord, to be a sort of second Pope?
I say "The Resistance, in any form, any group" for a good reason. Note that they say the USML is a synonym for The Resistance, but they also say Fr. Pfeiffer is its Superior General. That is factually inaccurate. The USML does NOT have anything to do with Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer -- much less follow him as a leader.
Let's put it this way: count me (and most other Resistance supporters) OUT of any group which has Fr. Pfeiffer as its head. End of story.
No wonder so many people don't want to be part of the Resistance! I wouldn't be part of it either if Fr. Joseph Pfeiffer was involved, much less if he was in charge!
Back to the list of errors --
They list "key people" who are indeed involved (although +Lefebvre is deceased), but they are attacked by Fr. Pfeiffer on a constant and regular basis. They are not in the same group as Fr. Pfeiffer. Apparently Fr. Pfeiffer shouldn't even be considered Resistance anymore. He's running his own cult.
And since when is the Resistance headquartered in
Vienna, VA? Whatever Pfeifferite set up and/or guided this Wikipedia to its current state should have put Boston, KY to at least be consistent.
Wikipedia is worthless. I've tried to add things several times, and they always disappear.
