  • Came across these clarifications from His Excellency.

    http://www.sspxasia.com/index.htm

Sorry if it's been posted already. They are new and I didn't see anything here yet.

(I can't edit the title of the thread but I had put a + before His Excellency's name, it didn't show up.)

  • Bishop Tissier’s fax typed:
    Quote

    + M   Ecône, September 7th, 2012
    Dear Rev. Father Couture,
Please find here a short summary of what I said to Father Chazal during our interview that took place at Ecône on Tuesday August 28th (if I remember) “1) I understand your thinking against an agreement with the modernistic Rome. I too am against it and everybody knows that I efficiently manifested my opposition against any agreement without any sign of conversion of the Conciliar Rome. 2) But I disagree with your means and ways. In the little army of the Society of Saint Pius X, you are a simple soldier, not a captain. Please remain in your place. There are captains, who can efficiently  act by the General. [I meant the District Superiors and our Bishops] 3) Please behave like/as a simple soldier and have full confidence in the action of the captains by the General. They will surely usefully intervene when necessary.”

Dear Father, I hope that this truth about my interview with Fr Chazal will make peace in truth in the minds of our beloved Faithful. May Our Lady, who protected us against the peril of being divided by Rome’s attempts, keep all our Faithful in the peaceful confidence in Her!
Your faithfully in Christ the King
    +Bernard Tissier de Mallerais

  • Maybe Matthew will be so kind as to delete the incorrectly formatted (too wide) first post.
    My apologies.

  • EVERY laity who supports or has supported the Society in the past is being spoon fed leaked docuмents, at regular intervals it seems, for a purpose.  This current docuмent is a handwritten note to a District Superior outlining a summary of a private conversation the Bishop had with Fr. Chazal.  This private communication then finds it's way onto the SSPX Asia website prominently labeled.  It is fair to ask why it is there and if it should be there.

Did all parties to the letter agree to post it on the internet? On the SSPX website?  A private conversation that could be considered disciplinary in nature to a priest should not be a public matter. Meanwhile, important information such a the explicit terms of the doctrinal preamble have never intentionally been made public.    What's going on here?

Well, it is very disappointing that such abuse of information media is being used as tool to motivate, discourage, influence those who read it.  While I advocate a more transparent relationship with Society leadership, I do not believe the current officially handwritten leaked docuмent by the Bishop is ethical unless ALL parties have agreed to its presence. If they have, I stand a fool and accept that.  My sense is that we are being played for fools.

  • I find it very interesting that the handwritten note from +Tissier de Mallerais to Fr. Daniel Couture, clarifying his conversation with Fr. Chazal is in English.  The first language of all three is French.  This note must have been written solely to appear on the internet for mass consumption.

Well it does say "FORWARD" and "URGENT" at the top - it would seem there are indeed other recipients intended who do not speak / read French.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • I hesitate to believe anything anymore.  And why should we?  Endless negotiations.  And for what?  Only to be swallowed up by modernist Rome along with all those who went before us.  Is a soldier to wait for a command when the enemy is plowing through the door?  If this is indeed from +Tissier, and that's an "if", then, with all due respect, the general should wake from his slumber.  Sancte Pie Decime, gloriose patrone, ora pro nobis.

  • I suppose the choice forced by this docuмent is:
Do we trust the words of Fr Chazal, or those of +TdM.
I trust the words of Fr Chazal.

I do find Domitilla's point interesting though. Why was this written in English, and no less to Asia district, when his ostensibly false memo was in French? I must agree, it was written solely for mass consumption, which further begs the question of whether he wrote of his free will.

  • To deny the authenticity of this letter is to deny blatantly obvious impeccable evidence.  It is quite entertaining to watch you pretend to doubt it, though.

  • Speculum,

It's weird, isn't it?  So weird, it's funny!

I'm waiting to see if Matthew accepts the authenticity of these docuмents.

For those clinging to the "words of Fr. Chazal," get some FACTS into your heads.

    1.  Fr. Chazal didn't say those things.  Somebody anonymously reported that Fr. Pfeiffer said that Fr. Chazal said that Bishop Tissier said them.

    2.  Fr. Pfeiffer has not even confirmed publicly that HE repeated these things.

    3.  Bishop Tissier has denied that he said these things.

Call Fr. Pfeiffer and ask him if he even believes these rumours.  I'm confident he doesn't.  It's all bulldust, and now we have published and signed proof that Bishop Tissier is trying to reassure the faithful that their fears are unfounded.

I repeat what I've said several times over the past few months.  Those who accuse others of being "accordistas" are really the accordistas.  They want to see the Fraternity do a deal, and tear itself apart, so that their proposed new sect will have some numbers, instead of the two ex-Fraternity priests they currently expect to be with them.

I emphasise that I do not think that Fr. Pfeiffer even agrees with this campaign by people calling themselves his fans.  If he did, he would say something publicly.

  • In case it is of any use for Matthew to have a narrower copy, here is what I took
directly off the enlarged image of the handwritten note, which is essentially the
same thing as SJ's first post, but for the glosses which I duly noted. I have also
preserved the line content, such that each line below matches each line in the
original (returns at the same places).

    + Econe, September 7th, 2012

    Dear Rev. Father Couture,
Please find here a short summary of what I said to
Father Chazal during our interview that took place at
Econe on Tuesday August 28th (if I remember)

<< 1) I understand your thinking against an agreement
    with the modernistic Rome. I too am against it;
and everbody (sic) knows that I efficiently manifested
my opposition against any agreement without any
sign of conversion of the Conciliar Rome.

    2) But I desagree (sic) with your means and ways.
In the little army of the Society of Saint Pius X,
you are a simple soldier, not a captain. Please
remain in your place. There are captains, who
can efficiently act by the General.

[I meant the district Superiors and our Bishops]

    3) Please, accept to behave licke (as) a simple soldier
and have full confidence in the action of the
captains by (?) the General. They will surely
    usefully intervene when necessary. >>

Dear Father, I hope that this truth about my inter-
view with Fr. Chazal will make peace in truth
in the minds of our beloved faithful.

May our Lady, who protected us against the peril
of being divided by Rome's attempts, keep all our
Faithful in the peaceful confidence in Her!

Your (sic) faithfully in Christ the King

                                  +Bern (?) Tissier (?....)de Mallerais (?)

  • GtG,

Exactly.  This all started with a 4th or 5th hand rumor from an anonymous post on an anonymous webpage, who has since removed it because even they consider it doubtful.

Yet some try to pretend that this rumor is more reliable than an handwritten, signed, faxed from Econe seminary (where Bishop Tissier is known to reside), posted on an official SSPX website run by Fr. Couture (to whom the letter was written), in English (the international language in Asia) to combat the rumor being spread in the Asian District (in particular, Korea) about the author himself.

If Bishop Tissier made a video denial they would claim it was made in Hollywood using a stunt double!

    It is to laugh.

  • Here is an interesting video that I assume everyone has already seen, but that I provide as a reminder of how the SSPX is perceived by the rest of the world.  The "general's" handshake is at 3:20.
