  • Yes, this pretty much explains everything.

The suspicion that the SSPX was becoming unduly concerned with its public image is corroborated here.

Remember, we were told Bishop Williamson had to go because his presence was damaging the apostolate of the SSPX.

In reality, he was an obstacle to this branding campaign.

    What madness.

If the SSPX grew, it was precisely because of its willingness to combat the errors of Rome and Vatican II, not because it was silent on the matter.

What kind of incompetence (at best) hires a marketing company to make the SSPX appeal to a world opposed to what it stands for....unless the marketing campaign tells management it must no longer oppose, in order to gain the approval of the world.

Is this not exactly what happened at Vatican II: An attempt to reconcile the Church with the modern world.

Bishop Williamson is again vindicated when he says, The crisis in the SSPX in all respects resembles the crisis in the Church after Vatican II."

Rom 5: 20 - "But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more."

  • The leaves are falling from the trees, and they are losing their cover. My instinct tells me that a certain Pagan ad-man is a Pagan in the house of Moluch.

  • What a BOMB!!!

Does anyone have a copy to scan and post or the quote from the "First Word column in the January 2012 Angelus" which corroborates Father's sermon? It would help to set this profound information in concrete.

    Deo gratias!

    Quote from: Fr. Girouard
I would like to share with you about my conversations with Father Wegner in October... The thing that will explain why you do not anymore see the Society criticize in a strong manner, in a vigorous manner, the evils of Vatican II, the evils of the New Mass and what happens in Rome. [...]

“This is a decision that has been made in Menzingen, okay? Yes, Father Girouard, and this decision in Menzingen was made because we have been branded!” [...]

“This is the fifth most successful company in Holland, so it is a very important company, a very successful company, and a couple of years ago I visited them and I met again with this man, and I asked him to take care of the Society and to do the branding of the Society, because that company is specialized in branding.”

What is "the fifth most successful company in Holland" and who is the man hired by Fr. Wegner and Bp. Fellay to re-brand the SSPX? Did Menzingen really pay hundreds of thousands for this re-branding?

I don't know..but wasn't there someone by the name of Krah who was instrumental and highly influential in laying out a new path for the Society these last few years?

This account, if true, is a disgrace upon the SSPX.

Why are you dissing,Max? According to Fr Laisney he is one of the faithful and has helped the SSPX? Besides the vast majority couldn't careless.

Fr Steiner stated the expulsion facilitated the deal.

I would say that, rather than incompetence, this is indicative of a loss of supernatural faith.

There is corroboration for this - obviously Father Girouard isn't the only one who heard it.

    Quote from: LordPhan
Yesterday I saw a disturbing sermon from the District Superior of Canada, pronounce that:

1: That Bishop Fellay has done as much as or more for the SSPX than
Archbishop Lefebvre! (I kid you not, he said these words)

2: That a non-Catholic businessman told Menzingen that the SSPX were wrong
in their methods; that is one example of why they should join Rome

One suspects this shamelessness is deliberate.  Why admit it something like that, other than to send a message?

The same sort of messages characters like Krah send with their behavior?

Sometimes these people seem to exult in their cynicism, to want to rub our faces in it.

  • They had to get rid of Monseñor Williamson because he was anti-agreement. So, how about organizing an interview? Thank you Mother and God.

This account, if true, is a disgrace upon the SSPX.

You can already be absolutely sure that B. Fellay picked up the phone and called
his Krah buddy to ask if hiring this branding company would be a good idea, and
between sipping his margarita on a bronzed beach in Borneo or whatever, he would
have had no problem with it.  So there.

How could this account not be true?  Do you know anything about Fr. Girouard?

Are you insinuating against his reputation?  How DARE you.

    ???

Nowhere did I insinuating against Fr. Girouard. I think it is important to know the names of the Holland corporation and the man who dealt with +Wegner and +Fellay.

This latest scandal could be the catalyst for finally bringing down +Fellay so it is very important to get all the facts.

  • Let's consider the absurdity of the thing, presupposin' it's true - and if you can know a cause by its effects and can know a tree by its fruit, then I'd say the stench of rotting carcass wafting up to our nostrils for the last few years is an indication of the veracity of the thing - not to mention Fr. G.'s deliberate slowness in revealing the fact.

Can you imagine a pope or bishop or priest or religious order hiring a worldling to market Jesus Chrsit to the world?!!!!!!!

Again the devil took Him up into a very high mountain, and shewed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, And said to Him: All these will I give Thee, if falling down Thou wilt adore me. Then Jesus saith to him: Begone, Satan: for it is written, The Lord thy God shalt thou adore, and Him only shalt thou serve.

The world cannot hate you; but Me it hateth: because I give testimony of it, that the works thereof are evil.

If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated Me before you. If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember My word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept My word, they will keep yours also.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you.

You are from beneath, I am from above. You are of this world, I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you, that you shall die in your sins. For if you believe not that I am He, you shall die in your sin.

Go ye into the whole world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

And seek not you what you shall eat, or what you shall drink: and be not lifted up on high. For all these things do the nations of the world seek.

Menzingen has either lost the Faith, lost its marbles, or both.

Can you imagine a pope or bishop or priest or religious order hiring a worldling to market Jesus Christ to the world?!!!!!!!

Years ago I remember seeing a comic paper; it was a report from one of these types of marketing or business consultants to Our Lord, telling their assessment of His 12 Apostles.   The consultant critiqued 11 of them, saying they were just not great business material - i.e. they would never be a great success in the world, etc..  But they thought Judas Isariot had great business sense, and hence, great potential, so they recommended that Jesus promote him etc...  It was very funny.  Wish I could find it again & post it.
