  • From John Vennari

On August 11 I received a grave prognosis.I has a cancerous tumor in my colan and the cancer has spread to the diertinium.

The only thing the cancer institute offers is chemotherapy. And even this is not something that will cure, but only contain it for a time.

I am now pursuing alternative/natural means under the guidance of competence medical personnel - one being an MD.

I only mention this now because the news was sent out prematurely by a well-meaning individual who circulated a private email on the topic. I had this news to remain private for the moment.

In any case, as time goes on, I will reveal more.

The case is very serious. I am keeping busy and staying upbeat.

Saint Philomena has featured heavily in this drama in a manner I will perhaps describe in the future (look at the date of prognosis, the feast of St. Philomena).

My family is making a novena to both Our Lady of Good Success and Saint Philomena.

Please, please, remember my condition in your prayers.

    Thank you

    John Vennari

  • Do not get chemotherapy.  Here are some things to look at:

Beware the MD's.  If they advise you NOT to get chemotherapy they can lose
    their license.

  • Thank you. John Vennari here. I've never posted on this forum before, and I'm not here to get into the various controversies and scraps. I only signed up now because the news of my condition was announced prematurely - and not by me (not happy about this, but there it is. Oremus). In any case, no, I have no intention of accepting chemotherapy. I appreciate everyone's concern and prayers. I am in the hands of some competent professional medical people in the area of nutrition and alternative medicine.

  • Dear John,

I am so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Will certainly pray for you!

There is a parishioner in my parish who has had considerable success in battling his own cancer with high-dose intravenous vitamin C therapy. One of the things he said to me was that when he went in for treatments there at that facility there was a sense of hope there, whereas, at the traditional chemo treatment facilities there was a sense of hopelessness.

It may be worth looking into as an alternative treatment.

Here's a news story about a woman with colon cancer who used the high-dose IV vitamin C treatment by Dr. Allan Magaziner in New Jersey.

    God bless you!

  • Will keep you in my prayers, John Vennari.

Glad to hear that St. Philomena is playing a significant role. Keep praying to her.

  • Did he have symptoms for a long time or did it just come out right now out of the blue?

  • We will include Mr. Vennari in our prayers.

On a side note, can anyone verify who owns CFN now?

After Father Gruner died, it was learned that he had owned CFN.

But who is controlling the newspaper now?
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

I thought that was common knowledge.  The newspaper was bought in the nineties from the man who started it and lived in Seattle I think.  His first is Ralph.  Don't recall his last name at the moment.  I'd have to check.  I still have the copies of the newspaper here before it changed hands.  Somewhere.

  •  Would Mr. Vennari consider going to the Burzynski clinic in Texas. It has enjoyed massive success and the powers that be have tried everything to shut him down. That says a lot maybe everything.
He is definitely not a chemo man. Otherwise our family will include him in our daily rosary.

    God Bless all.

  • So sorry to hear the bad news, John.
Don't forget the lamp oil of St. Philomena. My mother was relieved of a serious optic nerve problem affecting the sight in one eye;  by applying the oil to her eye before she took a nap, then later when she woke up, the disturbance in her vision was all cleared up.

  • Frankly...i would certainly not rule out chemo...look, i lost a sister in law to cancer, she was a doctor married to a doctor, my brother.  She took the natural alternative route and it cost her an early death... Im sorry to have to say it, but I feel she would be alive today had she gotten proper medical treatment....
