An Italian bishop authorizes the Society of St. Pius X parish to celebrate
OCTOBER 13, 2015 / NO COMMENT / 394 VIEWS

An Italian Bishop Lorenzo Ghizzoni, has authorized the SSPX to celebrate on the second Sunday of October two Masses in a parish in his diocese. To this end, he invited don Enrico Doria, prior of the SSPX, to celebrate these Masses. Archbishop Ravenna and Cervia wants to allow the creation of a stable group of faithful. Bishop Ghizzoni not, however, going to a friend of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificuм ... So it is good news that reduces the gap between practice the diocesan bishops and the SSPX.

Mission creep.  Things are getting curiouser and curiouser.

Quite the clever approach.  Unilaterally legitimate one chapel at a time and boil the frog into the V2 stew over time.  As I've said from the beginning, a wholesale reabsorption would have been impossible, since the SSPX would have fragmented.  That's why +Williamson had to be removed.

Recall the statement from the Vatican that the problems were internal and which implied that +Fellay couldn't get enough consensus to bring everyone over wholesale.

So a new plan is afoot.  First, unilaterally grant the SSPX jurisdiction during the Year of Mercy.  I'm guessing that this will be extended after the Year of Mercy.  This gets people used to and acclimated to the idea.  Now individual bishops will start granting jurisdiction to the SSPX chapels in their dioceses and in various regions around the world.  And, in return, the bishop will impose some unobjectionable demands.  Notice how in Italy the ordinary asked for the ordinary to offer the Mass.  Then it'll be other little requests that are not objectionable.  Pretty soon these working relationships become permanent and stable, and voila!, everyone has been reabsorbed.

These modernists might be wicked, but they're not dumb.

And they will make our Lord present in a place of sacrilege. How tragic, who will make reparations?

I have a friend who lives in Italy. Most of the SSPX parishioners occasionally attend the former break away group from the SPPX, and the SSPX pastor does not seem to mind.

The indult/moto is a technique, a trick.  It breaks down traditional resistance and it works with liberal (former) trads.

You can't have your cake and eat it too!

By break away group, I assume you mean the Istituto Mater Boni Consilii (IMBC)? Fr. Florian Abrahamowicz is loosely associated with them and has assisted in one of their ordinations.
