  • Is there any way to find where there are Resistance Masses in the US or anywhere else?

  • It's still at the "grapevine" stage.  Maybe YOU could post one?  Call OL Mt. Carmel, or ask through the website, CathInfo.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Someone needs to put one together.

However, many places have Mass on such an irregular basis, that the line between "no Mass center" and "a Mass center" is incredibly blurred. A lot of Mass centers exist "in potentia" right now.

For example, the San Antonio area hasn't had Mass since Ash Wednesday, even though we have a permanent building. Do we have a Resistance center here? Yes and no.

How are we that much different from Bumbafunk, Egypt? (Which doesn't have ANY Resistance organized at this time, I should point out.)

  • The locations I have been aware of so far are in Boston, Kentucky, Danbury, Connecticut, and once in San Antonio, Texas. I thought maybe Post Falls, Idaho was kind of one. I need to check the websites again like I did yesterday, but right now most of the Mass "centers" are very volatile at this point, but that's understandable since the Resistance is still going through much development as a safety net for whatever happens with the SSPX.

Haha, obviously not the same one.

The one you're thinking of is in the UK, I believe.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • .FWIW - I just had this message ready to go and my browser froze
and my operating system froze and my mouse wouldn't work and
my keyboard would not respond and I had to shut down the system
and restart, which normally would lose all unsaved data in RAM, but
when I restarted this message was still on the CI msg box window
and I did not have to reconstruct it from my OWN 'memory' as
sometimes happens at times like this which is why normally I use
a saved copy backup for long messages but this time I had not
done so -- therefore, it seems to me that the time has come for
this message because it was not anything that I did to retain it,
and if it was a normal course of events, this entire message would
have been lost, but it is not lost, for it was right here where I had
left itbefore losing all my data in RAM. I take this a kind of "sign"
that it was meant to be...............................

What about the the National Registry of Traditional Latin Masses,
an Independent Organization?  Their "comprehensive" list is
updated monthly, and is available via .pdf file using this link.

They invite submissions of updated information: "PLEASE SEND LISTING UPDATES TO THE NATIONAL REGISTRY OF TRADITIONAL LATIN MASSES (registry@traditio.com), AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION SEPARATE FROM THE TRADITIO NETWORK."

Has anyone sent them the message/request that we would like
to have noted in their .pdf file, the fact of whether a listed Mass
site is a Resistance site or not?  They already have an angry face
icon for DIOCESE (Indult) sites, and the Traditio network has long
been critical of the aggiornamento aspect of the
Menzingen-denizens and HEBF*, so it isn't too much of a stretch
that some new manner of noting specifically Resistance sites might
be introduced, since there is a demand for it, and it seems to fit in
with the general philosophy of the Registry (and Traditio - if that's
    of any conclusive matter).

Has anyone seen an announcement on the
Daily Commentaries from the Fathers (which I admit I don't
always read but from time to time it has something useful - which
would be more often if not for the tendency for inaccuracy and
"jumping the gun" aspect which imparts a note of incredulity to
what is posted there) to the effect that Resistance sites are
somehow not allowable as legitimate listing, or, that the National
Registry has not taken the step to introduce a distinction
between Fellayite-friendly vs. Resistance-friendly Mass locations?

It would seem to be a natural development whose time has come.

ETA:  Perhaps a third icon would be needed that shows BOTH HEBF-F-
&-R-F (both HEBF-friendly and Resistance-friendly) locations, to the
effect that there would then be 5 (five) icons in the Registry, including
the current   :devil2:  and   faces, as it were.

Since the Registry is updated Monthly, perhaps the month of July 2013
is "the month" for this to occur?  After all, the day after tomorrow
will be the 96th anniversary of the VISION OF HELL and the revelation
of the THIRD SECRET OF FATIMA,
which the Traditio network hates to
think about, so maybe this is a good opportunity!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

A $10 annual use donation is expected for use of the list.  The linked
page explains that the .pdf file should not be edited by the user for
his own purposes: "This Annual Use Donation entitles you to use, on
any machine you own, the current year's Original Edition and Monthly
Revised Editions. This small Annual Use Donation entitles you to view,
download, and print pages of the eBook for your own personal use,
but not to edit, copy, publish, or otherwise distribute the eBook,
in whole or in part, for any purpose."

    From linked site:

The Official Traditional Catholic Directory is issued since 2006 as an eBook in Adobe Acrobat PDF format, not in paperback. This format allows the Registry to revise the Directory monthly instead of annually. You can obtain a printed copy, if you wish, by printing out the PDF file. (To view, download, or print the current Monthly Revised Edition of the Directory, you must have the free Adobe Reader [PDF] plug-in installed for your internet browser.)

The National Registry of Traditional Latin Masses (registry@traditio.com), in operation since 1994, maintains the only complete list, by sponsoring organization, of the approximately 700 Traditional Catholic Latin Masses in the pre-Vatican II Roman Rite, regularly and publicly celebrated in North America, as well as contacts for Mass sites outside North America. It also maintains a list of traditional Catholic periodicals, suppliers, organizations, seminaries, religious orders, lay societies, retreats, schooling, and a necrology of traditional Catholic priests.

Come and visit us and Fr. Girouard in Canada!

Fr. Girouard is a great destination for any visit.  He is worth
making the sacrifice to go and see.  If you have a few spare
days and can afford the travel expense, you cannot do
better than to make this trip happen.  You could bring the
family and enjoy the countryside just for fun.  There's lots
of attractions for the kids and new vistas to enjoy together.
If you haven't been to Canada, maybe this is your chance.

And say "hi" to the good Father for me, if you will.

    Godspeed.

Had me going too, for a bit. Actually went onto IA to see if he'd had an awakening, but found the same old accordista shills taking their cheap shots as usual.

The only problem I see would be that the Masses/times/locations can change so much that it might be too much of an effort to put them in the directory.  I used to keep the directory updated on Masses in Phoenix, even the ones I didn't attend, like the indult, but the directory was not always updated w/new info in a timely manner, after submitting changes 2,3,4 times I finally gave up.

www.resistancemass.org hasn't been taken yet - maybe someone will set up a website where only the Masses will be listed.
