  • Many members lurk but never post. For example why haven't the photographs of Chartres pilgrimage been posted? Peadar Walsh never replied to my email.

Are they hostile to the "rebel" forum?

  • I mean if they can post to Facebook which Catholics shouldn't use why not on an excellent forum like Cath Info.

It's insulting to likes of Matthew and MD. You have a forum to post pictures yet post to Facebook.

  • I think pictures that were posted, were 'social'... cathinfo is different.....it is for debate, or comment.... or am i wrong...

  • As discussed on another thread Cath Info is part of the alternative media and whilst it exists, I would encourage people to use it. I would have assumed Trads in Ireland would use it more.

Fair enough if people are not aware of it but I think it insulting to Matthew and MD for people not to use it.

On Ignis Ardens for example people always posted events or photographs from pilgrimages etc etc.

Yes, it is for debate and comment but a wider part of the real media. It's part of the counter power.

  • Relevant to the thread but more suited to the others.

I am definitely not a fan of Facebook and try to use it as little as possible. The only reason I have an account is for the purposes of promoting Restoration Radio and my science fiction blog Swords and Space. The reason I use Facebook for this marketing is because the reality is that most people, including most traditional Catholics, seem to use it. But I basically agree with the comments of others in this thread about the dangers of it.

  • There are a couple of excellent Resistance Facebook groups. Information is shared a bit quicker but not as in depth as CathInfo. It is easier to post sermons on Facebook as well. For instance the UK conference links were posted by me on CathInfo many hours ago but no one takes notice. On Facebook we have had a couple of good discussions on them already.  Both are good in their own way. I also have a couple of Indult Facebook friends who are (finally!) taking an interest in what is going on by me sharing sermons and articles.

If Matthew feels insulted, I'm sorry, but the sharing of information in this fight is primary.

I don't follow Facebook so not aware of these groups. It's always a good idea to print off material or download audio to 'burn' to a disc.

  • I have imbibed enough Guinness to at least be considered part Irish. Does that count?
