Didn't have time to read before posting. It's just another self serving interview.
We were in fact surprised by this action of the Holy Father on the occasion of the Holy Year because we, like everyone else, learned about it through the press.
+Fellay's whole episcopate has been full of "surprises". Hope his death won't come as one. "Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh, shall find watching".
I very much fear that one of the key points of the Synod may have been resolved by creating a “back door” that opens the way to a supposed “Catholic divorce,”
So...Is he going to reject the 45 days "annulments" when their gate is flooded with Novus Ordo people ?
In itself, it [Pope’s act, during the Holy Year] adds nothing new for the Society, its members, or its faithful.
"In itself" they would have accepted at last 100% of VII which is the reason for this "Holy Year" jubilee. What else could Rome want? I wonder if Our Lady will have a few surprises for +Fellay with the "(un)Holy Year" beginning on her Feast of the Immaculate Conception. A jubilee of the triumph of Modernism. The general apostasy "from the top" She warned about and submitting himself to their corrupt authority.
You already have divorced people within the SSPX and even the resistance.
And many traditional Catholics are former novous ordo.
Maybe Bishop Fellay thinks he and many priests can help from within. Maybe Bishop Fellay is being guided by God and Our Lady to help protect the Church. In the past, we have had some really sinful Popes but the faithful always remained true Catholics. Bishop Fulton Sheen is right that we are to keep the faith and make sure our priests are priests and nuns are nuns.
Mercy from God comes when when we make reparations for our own sins.
Traditionally , Catholics are united under Rome.
