IMPORTANT: SSPX Superior-general Bp. Fellay met Pope and CDF yesterday

Bp. Fellay, the Superior-general of the Society of St. Pius X (FSSPX / SSPX) met Pope Francis yesterday, October 13, in Casa Santa Marta.

Afterwards, he held a meeting with the highest authorities of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), Card. Müller, Prefect, and Abp. Ladaria Ferrer, Secretary. Bp. Fellay was joined by his two assistants, Fr. Nély and Fr. Pfluger.

According to the SSPX General House, the CDF meeting, "foreseen for a long time," "is the second one since September 13, 2014", and "is part of the framework of relations that the Society of Saint Pius X has always had with the Roman authorities, in particular in these past few years, by the doctrinal visitations that took place in the several seminaries of the Society, and that will continue in the upcoming months."

On Thursday, October 13, 2016, Bp. Bernard Fellay, Superior General of the Society of St. Pius X, met with Cardinal Gerhard Müller, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He was accompanied by Father Alain-Marc Nély, 2nd Assistant General of the Society, since Father Niklaus Pfluger, 1st Assistant General, was prevented from participating.

Cardinal Müller was flanked by Abp. Luis Ladaria Ferrer, S.J., Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and Abp. Guido Pozzo, Secretary of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei.

Shortly before this meeting, the Superior General briefly greeted Pope Francis at the Casa Santa Marta.

Planned long ago, this meeting with the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith—which is the second, after the one on September 23, 2014—occurred within the framework of the relations that the Society of St. Pius X has always kept up with the Roman authorities, particularly in recent years by the doctrinal discussions that have taken place in the various seminaries of the Society, which will continue in the months to come.

They met on the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun, no doubt to bolster the idea in the eyes of the SSPX faithful, that this deal is "from God."

Rumor has it... the 1st assistant to the Prefect's of the Congregation of the Faith thought it appropriate and had requested, through the Vatican's diplomatic channels, that the 1st Assistant, to the Superior General of the xSPX, Father Phluger, should cover his head with a wig for the meeting.

Apparently, the 1st Assistant thought it was inappropriate for Cardinal Mueller to be exposed to Phlugey's big shiney bald head.

Father refused to wear a wig and was thus "prevented" from participating in the meeting.

I think you have it wrong here, Incredulous. Whenever Bergoglio deals with SSPX personnel he is the True Pope of Eternal Rome. Only the rest of the time he is the Destroyer Pope.

Since Bishop Fellay's meeting was the same day as Luther-fest, does anyone know if he attended the festivities?
