In the face of heresy: St. Basils "economy of silence"

The OP, printed in the latest SSPX Newsletter, says more than anything that the Society is coming in and has struck a deal.

All of a sudden, after 40 years of the Society boldly calling out Modernist errors in  the Conciliar Church, we have discovered the way of St. Basil! All on May 8, 2012!

In reality, the Society had it wrong all along! What it should have done is follow the "economy of silence" (is that similar to the hermeneutic of continuity?). Following this method, we will convert all of the Neo-Caths and flaming liberals by...wait for it....refusing to speak out too harshly about the crisis! YES! That's the answer!

But wait.....isn't this exactly what the FSSP has been doing since 1988? And they have what fruit to show for it????
