  • A personal translation in English:

" Every man who do something has against him: those who would want to make the same thing, those who make exactly the opposite and especially the big army of people, much more severe, who make nothing. " (J. Clarétie)

First of all, some information to seize that the situation (inside the SSPX) continues to degrade. Little by little, we see in certain schools, that people do not tolerate any more criticism of pope Francis: " it is necessary to see the good things ". In a class of doctrine, a child intervenes: " I was told that the bishops and popes of today are close to Protestants … " Answer of the nun: " you judge the bishops and the pope, you cannot do that. "

A Mother Superior General, in visit in one of her houses, speaks to the girls of the "Bless" José-Gabriel Brochero who is Francis's new "beatified person" (in September 14th, 2013). How do we make the children understand that the "saints" of Francis (John XXIII, John-Paul II) are not saints?

In convents and priories, we read and we censor the mail. Certain superiors are more and more curt and refuse any discussion. A lot of people was able to appreciate the clear intervention of Father Rousseau on the scandalous imposture of the announcement of the canonizations of the internationalists John XXIII and John-Paul II. His indignation was justifiable and normal. But the General House let know to Father Rousseau that he should not have speak under the passion!

Menzingen moves back only seemingly and under the pressure.

In August, 2012, Bishop Fellay appointed Father Pierre-Marie Berthe a professor to the seminary of Flavigny. Father de Cacqueray (Superior of the District of France) opposed to it showing that if this priest had qualities, he also had liberal weaknesses who makes him unfit for the formation of the future priests. Menzingen did not care about these objections! During one year, this professor dispensed in the seminary a shocking teaching reported by several shaken seminarists: debates on the new attitude to adopt towards Ecclesia Dei groups, meditations on the basis of the encyclicals of Benedict XVI and the texts of Vatican II … Furthermore, this professor did not hesitate to attack publicly in front of the seminarists Father de Cacqueray, saying that he is inflexible, strict and unyielding. It was only by the combined pressure of several priests, and in front of the fear of an increasing scandal, that Bishop Fellay accepted his transfer.

Even the seminary of Écône, in spite of the righteousness of his Superior (Father de Jorna), is not spared. Father Quilton is a professor of Morality: he justifies and applies with no problem at all the new Code of Cannon Law (1983). He was also appointed prosecutor in the trial of Father Pinaud: he justified the theft of the private correspondences between Resistance priests realized by Father Wailliez and by Father Thouvenot. Graver still, in the Bill of indictment against Father Pinaud, Father Quilton asserts about a possible agreement with Rome:  "This danger for the Faith, even though it would had been real, did not allow you to incite the subjects to rebellion." Father Cadiet declares that Dignitatis humanae, understood in the right limits, is not set against the Tradition of the Church …

The court established by Bishop Fellay to judge Father Pinaud condemned him with suspens a divinis ... Father Wuilloud (the Judge) forbids him to say mass even in private, to confess, to preach … The judge blames Father Pinaud of daring to write in his last defense: " Because of the numerous concessions that it made to the Council Vatican II and for the unacceptable conciliar reforms, for that only, the Doctrinal Declaration of April 15th, 2012 constitutes a danger for the Faith which legitimizes the revolt, because this Doctrinal Declaration is not a 'minimalist' text, as writes about it Bishop Fellay in the editorial of Cor Unum # 102. "

Let us make no mistake about it, the General House (Menzingen) did not change, they are only adapted to the new circuмstances. The neo-spirit spreads smoothly. Appearances deceive the naives and reassure those who want to be reassured. You thus understand that it is necessary to think about the future. As long as an honorable and honest Superior General will not bring back the SSPX to the principles of his founder, we have to act.

Accordingly, we issue an appeal to the faithful: we think to established the Resistance in France in a more structured way. We have already four possible projects. If from your part, you also have projects (Chapels, motivated groups of faithful, young peoples who think of dedicating themselves to God, schools), do not hesitate to make it known to us, by writing, until December 24th, 2013, to Father Olivier Rioult - 18 avenue avenue des Acacias - 59320 Sequedin.

In the course of January 2014, we can make an assesment, visit you and, if it is possible, make the best decision about the projects. In these times of cowardice and sluggishness, the passion of Our Lord Jesus-Christ is our consolation and may the kindness of the Gospel of a God who loved us to the point to give is life for us and to be made food in our exile helps us to serve Him diligently and with gratitude.

Have a good Advent period and a Holy Christmas

    Fathers J.M . Faure and O. Rioult

  • As some people have said here on Cathinfo, the old SSPX is over and done with. The spirit and mindset of the people in the neo-SSPX have changed (and if they haven't changed yet for some people, they will eventually). We have to realize this and move on by establishing more permanent and structured Resistance centers.
