  • ‘Diabolical Disorientation’ in Post Falls, Idaho

or an (Im)modest wedding in the FSSPX

    **** WARNING IMMODEST DRESS ****

The scandal plagued FSSPX group in Post Falls, Idaho.

Recently we covered the FSSPX of Great Britain’s “St. Michael’s School Child Protection Policy, Procedure and Guidance” docuмent which is absolutely filthy and morally disgusting.  This led us to inquire just who is driving the bus?  Previously we wrote about Bp. Fellay baptizing bells — while one of the co-participants who rang the bells was a woman wearing a very immodest short dress with cap sleeves — and rhetorically asked “Is Fellay changing modernist Rome or modernist Rome changing Fellay?”

Bp. Fellay has no problems with immodesty.

And now onto a wedding with immodestly dressed guests and members of the wedding party.  The wedding happened this past summer at Immaculate Conception Church in Post Falls, Idaho.  Immaculate Conception is the 2nd largest SSPX enclave in the United States of America after St. Mary’s in Kansas and we refer to it as scandal plagued because of their association with the convicted pedophile Kevin Sloniker and the disturbing rumors which continue to swirl about the academy connected to the church.

The snapshots and one photo posted below were all found on social media.  The behavior and the immodesty demonstrated in them leads us at Call Me Jorge... to sadly conclude that the FSSPX doesn’t have far to go to finish assimilating with the Novus Ordo.

Yes, we know that not every guest at a wedding is necessarily a Catholic nor do they understand what modesty is.   The responsibility for immodestly dressed guests lies squarely with the priest and the couple who are to get married.  It is prudent for them to explain in the wedding invitation the type of respectful dress that is expected when one is present at a Catholic Mass in front of the Blessed Sacrament.   We could give them a mulligan or the benefit of the doubt if it were only a few guests but when it includes members of the wedding party it leads us to conclude that the priest sadly wasn’t properly formed at the SSPX seminary nor was the couple properly catechised on modesty.

How will the FSSPX “fight the modernists” in Rome and restore Catholic tradition in the world when the Society is failing at the basics like this?  Does this ‘bastion’ of Catholicism and its members understand the Catholic Faith?  Or do they choose to practice it only when it suits them?

Please keep this young married couple and the priest in your prayers.

  • This probably isn't the first time for this to happen in the SSPX, or even at this church. The story is only covered because of all the attention they've been getting there. Really, whith the problems they have there it's not hard to imagine this is old news, because it's happened before.

I may be wrong... but one of my friend's sister's dress may have been short for her wedding, but I don't remember as he was the one who told me and that was some 2 years ago. Yes, that family is certainly SSPX and comfortable where they are.

  • It's both sad and scandalous that such immodest attire is allowed in an SSPX chapel.

It is known as to whether or not the local diocese of the conciliar church was involved in the wedding, as Bishop Fellay has now allowed them to be? That may account for it, though it may be a case of not wanting to offend anyone by setting strict standards of dress.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

    ~St. Robert Bellarmine

  • Super critical?  Yes, but, you know as well as I do that every single trad who does follow the rules and abide within the boundaries notices all of these things and thinks these same thoughts in their head.

    A bit harsh?  No.

I agree, I even wrote to Bishop Fellay and Fr Wegner about this growing trend of immodesty at SSPX Chapels, and as expected nothing is done and the situation gets worse.

Let us all remember to pray that our little Resistance Chapels do not follow the same path. As Fr. Chazal said (if I can find the video, I will include the link), once immodesty is accepted then it is an indication that Liberalism has took over the mind.

  • As to the bride and bridal party appropriate clothing can be controlled.  But with guests you can only REQUEST that they dress appropriately unless the bride is willing to post a guard at the door who will bar entrance to anyone he thinks is not dressed correctly.

  • Most people have non-Catholic relatives. These relatives get invited to weddings. Astute wedding planners will indicate a dress code on the invitation (I know we did, and I'd hardly say we were exemplars of the platonic form of wedding planners).  And that's what you can do. A wedding, by its nature (ecclesiastical and otherwise) is a public event. If people don't adhere to the dress code, then they don't adhere to it. If the couple didn't indicate a dress code, then they're bad wedding planners, not bad Catholics.

Now, that *doesn't* address the bride's garb, which is modern. Not the short skirted gal at the blessing of the bells.  Those are things ideally addressed by priests beforehand. But the majority of the pics are complaints about guest attire, which is then broadbrushed as an indication of the SSPX's systemic failure. If you want credibility as a critical, don't propagandize like this.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

Just trying to see the silver lining. "Nothin' to see here; move along." :"

Serioulsly though, it's just so horrid anymore... laugh, cry, or die.

Thanks for taking it better than the time when, for example, I asked when the stripper pole was going up at my local "parish"; I'm pretty sure "Liturgical Lap Dancing" isn't a thing even in "The Church of the New Advent."

(oh please let that be so.)

Yep, sad to say... the wedding would pass the Hooter's test:

Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

Easy, those girls are really nice, and they really truly care about you.

They even call you things like "hon", or "baby", and say the sweetest stuff like "what are you doing at my house?"
    "Lord, have mercy".
