Hi, all
Just want everyone to know of my discussion with our new priest, Fr. Adam Portugal, today. Someone had sent me information of when he was in MN, not good. Another person said he was being sent to make us give our money. Father began his sermon saying that we all know the state of the world and that we shouldn't so easily get agitated. ( Clue right there- just be good, pay, pray and obey) The rest of the sermon was like a bunch of loose ends, so I really don't know what it was about.
The coordinator asked me to talk to Father, as he had to leave right after Mass. I asked Father about the incident in MN, why people left and became leaders in the resistance. Father said it had nothing to do about the resistance. It concerned a problem with the school. He said one of the parishioners almost punched him. I said that was awful, because he'd be attacking Our Lord.(BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE-MAYBE IT MIGHT DO SOME GOOD) Anyway, I gave Father the benefit of the doubt, but like someone posted the other day-you should never give a benefit to a doubt!!! Okay, after that we went on to Bishop Williamson-he's a convert-got nowhere there. Then Bishop de Mallerais. He approved of him, cause he sides with Bishop Fellay. Next, Father Pfeiffer-well, he's totally bad-built the church in Colorado and didn't want to leave. Father Morel? His response was, "You're pitting a disobedient priest, a bishop who was a former protestant and a priest who was in the novus ordo against 40 years of pious priests." It didn't seem to matter that they converted. Everything I said, he just twisted and turned. I'M TELLING YOU, THIS PRIEST IS MEAN AND VICIOUS. I can see why they sent him. We mentioned Vat. II. It was as if that was all right, just have to understand it correctly. Novus Ordo legally promulgated, no problem here!!!
I mentioned the group or rite -the name starts with A, but I can't remember it-that BXVI said was okay to not have a consecration in the Mass. He had an excuse, for that-other rites are different than the Latin rite. I know, but how does one have Mass without a consecration?
We talked about the popes-BOY- he's for the popes! Remember, you kiss their ring, blah, blah. I said they have to be Catholic. The popes have said and done heresy. Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last thing was about Fr. Young giving a catechism class on the validity of the novus ordo and not wanting to discuss licitity. At that point, we went into the other room to ask others who were there at the time, about the matter. Well, Father goes up to the family that's been thick with the SSPX and says " Mrs. So and So. says Fr. Young said it's okay to go to the new mass." At this point I just lost it, I shouted that I was tired of him twisting and turning my words. Words were going back and forth by then. He said I was being disrespectul or something like that to him. (because I contradicted him) I told him that he and Bishop Fellay should go to the monastery for a few years, just like Bishop Fellay told Fr. Hewko. At that, he started going to his room, but when he saw me going to the door to leave, it was all bye Mrs. So and So.
Anyway, I've tried several times and I've had it. Don't want no more of the SSPX, because THEY HAVE LOST THE FAITH. Like I said before, what good is it to occupy the pew? The laity and the priests must speak up, but unfortunately at this chapel there's not enough of us.
