No surprises here. Let me guess, one of the bishops will be Fr. Paul Robinson.
I’m tired of SSPX, and trad/Rome politics. I’m much more interested in saving my soul. Am I selfish? Probably, that’s not a bad form of selfish. What I think has no influence whatsoever on anyone’s actions.

By taking a close look at sociological data regarding the American traditionalist community, one of the most dynamic in the world, is the Supreme Pontiff perhaps seeking a path toward stabilizing the global liturgical situation?
-From SSPX March 23 article

The only Catholic "path" a "Supreme Pontiff" should be "seeking" toward "stabilizing the global liturgical situation" would be condemning, anathematizing, sending back to the bowels of hell, etc. the Novus Ordo Missae, at the very least. Unfortunately I don't think this is what the SSPX is referring to!

If you read about Abp. Lefebvre's consecration on his official biography, you'll see that it was common knowledge that he was going to be consecrated a long time beforehand. He travelled to France to be consecrated on his own diocese, and, when he visited a monastery, he was bothered that the monks were already treating him with some priviledges, even before his consecration. There is even the term "bishop-elect". So, we can conclude that the Church's custom is to let everybody know some time before the consecration who was selected to become a bishop.

That being said, the SSPX deviates from Church custom on a lot of things, but I expect that they will publish the names at least some weeks beforehand.

I forgot about that term "Bishop-elect". Thanks for this G B.

Can we expect Card. Fernandez to be transparent again if he is given the list of the "bishop-elects" from Fr Pagliarani?, say, 2 months from now... If he vetos even just one bishop-elect, that would stall the exco . In light of Fr. Girouard's article, it is pretty clear there will not be any excommunications, imo. It's not in Pope Leo's DNA =  (Do Nice Acts..)

In my opinion, you should never expect this Mr. Fernandez nor Fr. Pagliarani to ever be transparent or sincere. The work that they do demands them not to.
