  • Manuel Chavez informs Cathinfo that there are currently 8 new(?) seminarians in Boston, KY.  Is that true?  Do any of you have any information to the effect?  I have made enquiry of a friend in that area, and am waiting for an answer.  Meanwhile, perhaps, one of you can confirm or deny that what Martin says is true.

  • I don't have any reason not to believe Manuel and shows that eight is probably an accurate number.

I don't know how many are new to Boston, KY, but several are in cassock, so if they're new to Boston, they've transferred from somewhere else.

'OperationSurvival' is there, but not serving or singing, so if you're head-counting, you can add him.

    ....................

I wanted to point out something else regarding Boston, KY:

We should be just as quick to note improvements as we are to note problems.

     - Fr. Hewko has given a sermon from the pulpit at OLMC every Sunday since Sept 13 ("Ambrose Sunday"), which means he's probably at the seminary most of the time now, perhaps only leaving to say Mass at one other location.

     - Fr. Hewko's latest catechism asked prayers for ALL of the Resistance seminaries, listing them each specifically. So, what he said last week seems to have been unintentional. He seems to disagree with the ongoing public face of OLMC (still a big problem) which puts Fr. Chazal as a "member of the Lodge."

     - I suspect that even if the OLMC priests realize their previous mistakes, we're never going to see a public statement from Boston, KY denouncing Ambrose as a fraud. However, without weekly testimony that he continues to say Mass for Fr. Pfeiffer, I'll remain hopefully optimistic that he's no longer on their schedule.

This is not to say that there aren't still big problems there and I still wouldn't even recommend a young person to go and volunteer there, much less enter the seminary, but I do want to give credit where it's due.

I don't think that this video proves Manuel's contention at all.

At minute 1:07:30 a woman says to Pablo "No.  This is a private burial." He ignores her and continues to film.  No respect at all for the dignity of the occasion.

    He's trad paparazzi.

Could you clarify for us -- were you at the funeral? If I'm not mistaken, you live in Boston, KY.

Just watching the video, it's inconclusive.

I was not there.  But I listened to the video with earbuds and you can hear clearly at 1 hour 7 minutes 30 seconds a woman's voice says to Pablo "No.  This is a private burial."  Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Does this surprise anyone.  Pablo, so we understand, videoed his own son on life supports.  Or was that someone else?

I disagree with "Manuel" in his irrational optimism for Boston, KY, but let's not go overboard.

He is not a liar. Note that he carefully admits the things that are true, but passes over that as much as he can and puts TONS of emphasis on whatever good points he can dig up or change the subject to.

You act like having 8 seminarians somehow vindicates the Boston, KY seminary or something. Most of them are brand-new! All this time and money spent in Boston, and only 2 of them have more than a week's worth of training under their belt.

I'd still call that a failure.

I'm scratching #3 from my list here now that there are reports that Ambrose has returned to Boston, KY. There is a MOUNTAIN of evidence against this man he should not be allowed ANY position requiring even the slightest amount of trust.

  • I posed the question a week ago, viz. How many seminarians currently enrolled in Boston, KY.?
Yet, no real answer to date.

It wasn't a trick question.  It doesn't involve much arithmetic, certainly no higher math.  If someone can count to 10, that should be all the skills required.  So again:  How many seminarians are firmly enrolled at OLMC?  Not,
How many young fellows in surplices at a burial ceremony video can you count?

  • There is a fresh pic of Ambrose ensconced on the sofa during recreation with the seminarians on the "30 days" blog. My silly hopes that he had been given his walking papers seem to be dashed.

Pablo's Propaganda: How Good I Cook and How The Seminary Was Thrown

P.S: These dumb people are so desperate that they need to show how good they feed their  Priests, just like one feeds their pigs.

Don't be silly. I never said I was counting surplices.

Look at the schola. There are four people there wearing clerical collars. One of them is Fr. Hewko. So, that is three who are either priests (doubtful) or seminarians. Manuel's brother is not one of them, so he makes four. OpSurvival is in the video elsewhere, so that makes five.

Given the number of other young men wandering about at a funeral on a Friday afternoon for a person who didn't have much in the way of family, I concluded that it was not unreasonable to say there are eight seminarians.

I don't know what you mean by "firmly enrolled".
