  • Here are some pics from the Resistance in Texas during the past few days.

    * Stella Maris chapel, Holy Thursday (La Marque, TX outside Houston)
    * St. Dominic's Chapel, Easter Sunday High Mass (between Seguin, TX and San Antonio)
    * Scenes of the egg hunt, cascarones, and pinata from the Easter Party at St. Dominic's Chapel
Not pictured: musical chairs and tug of war

Note the beautiful "Star of the Sea" theme for Stella Maris chapel. Stella Maris is one of the titles of Our Lady. They have a star/compass at the top, an anchor, and a boat model to the right of the altar. The chapel is very close to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, so picking this particular title of Our Lady was no accident!

Note: Regarding the relative poverty of St. Dominic's Chapel compared to Stella Maris, a famous bumper sticker comes to mind: "Don't laugh - it's paid for!"
Indeed, everything you see at St. Dominic's including the building itself is owned free and clear.
