The priests in Nigeria have suffered a lot for their fidelity to Tradition since leaving the Novus Ordo. So much so, that one of the original three priests who was conditionally ordained with Fr Chigbata and Fr Onuorah found it unbearable and after a few months returned to the Conciliar Church. Fr Onuorah was full of compassion for him as he told me that back then they didn't even know where their next meal was coming from.

Below is an email Fr Nduefuna sent me yesterday. I had suggested he write to Bishop Morgan who visited them in 2024, and let him know of their plight, and through that he received some Mass stipends from France:

Ave Maria. How are you today? 

Honestly that's part of my fear. But, the most important one is this, you know we have no single benefactor locally, then abroad, you are the foremost I know and your friends, and no investment. Most of our former friends are gone because they believe that we are outside the Church therefore, they avoid us. Our members are poor people who even look up to us for support. This we try to do whenever we can. 

Now, we depend on outside help for our sustenance. This Mass stipend helps us so much to have something on our tables. Ordinarily speaking, this €1,308 is to keep me going till the next 70 days but, now it will go into the fencing work at once. Thinking about how to live through this 70 days is terrifying. Be it as it may, the apostolate of sustaining the Traditional Latin Mass will continue to advance in my area. God knows how best to keep us going.

I think you understood this too well in your dealings with me so far. What you had sent me made enough provision for the security project and for the keeping of the body and soul together.

In all, my good brother, this is not a complaint or revolt. I'm only trying to paint the real picture of our general situation here. This is the reason I said I would still ask Fr Rousseau to look for donors for me.

Yes, I do regularly try to send Mass stipdends to Father Onuorah.  I asked him for another set of Gregorian Masses after my mother passed away, and I usually add a great deal more on top, since I know they can use the help.  I'll try to send him some stipends on a regular basis ... as it's very difficult if not impossible to have Masses said anywhere else.
