Today's update from Fr Onuorah:

Greetings in Our Lord Jesus Christ my dear brother... Hope you are fine today. We are constructing the staircase to the gallery. They are two staircases. We started the construction yesterday 28th January and rounding it up today. By tomorrow we continue the second staircase by the grace of God. After the forming with boards then the iron bender will fix the iron rods and they will be casted with concrete together with the gallery decking. The work is not an easy one but we are doing it with joy because it is the house of God we are building. Thanks to your generous donations which have kept us moving and working all day. COMPLETION OF THE BLOCK WORK AND GALLERY USD5000
Yes it will still require some more funds to complete the gallery work and the block works up to the parapet facial. It will require up to USD 5,000 to finish it to parapet facial before roofing, because we will still buy iron rods for  continuation pillars and finall chaining and parapet. I just sent you a picture of the chippings and sand I bought from the balance of the money you sent last time. I also bought 50 bags of cement which will not be enough.  I will need to buy another 100 bags of cement for the concrete casting of the gallery decking and buy another 25 tonnes of chippings for the casting and more 2 trips of sand for the concrete casting.

Materials For the iron roofing:
a). 2 and half angle iron by 4 mm N16,000 per one >195 pieces = N3,120,000

b). 2 inches angle iron by 4 mm N11,500 per one >150 pieces = N1,725,000

c). Z polline 1.8 mm N15,000 per one >210 pieces = N3,150,000

d). Z polline clip N800 per one >200 pieces = N160,000

e). Red oxide N58,000 per carton >5 cartons = N290,000

f). Electrode N34,000 per carton >4 cartons=N136,000

Total cost for the materials =N8,581,000.

g). Workmanship for the fabrication of the materials and the installation =N3,000,000

h). Zinc or Roofing Sheets =N10,000,000

Grand Total for all = N21,581,000

Which is about USD16,000.

That's the level we are as at today 17th February  2026. After this level now we begin the casting of the decking with cement concrete.
