Today's update from Fr Onuorah: it will be a grand centre for the Traditional Catholic revival in Africa when it is finished. Please help if you can. It is a big expense and there are precious few donors.

Greetings in Our Lord Jesus Christ my dear brother... Hope you are fine today. We have also completed casting the lintel chaining of the left hand side length of the Church building with the arcs and parapets of the corresponding side altars.
God bless.
Fr Joseph Onuorah.

"And whosoever doth not carry his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you having a mind to build a tower, doth not first sit down, and reckon the charges that are necessary, whether he have wherewithal to finish it: Lest, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that see it begin to mock him Saying: This man began to build, and was not able to finish."

Although I certainly hope they can finish what they have begun, the above concept -- which is uttered by Incarnate Wisdom -- is why I initially expressed my concerns.  Godspeed.

Thanks for the wisdom, Gladius. I imagine when it comes to the missions there sometimes has to be a leap of Faith, since they cannot help themselves and sometimes opportunities have to be taken when they present themselves. At any rate, that decision was neither yours nor mine, we are here now, and these priests and their apostolate is eminently worthy of our support. Nigeria is the second largest Catholic population in Africa. We are dealing here with the glory of God and the salvation of souls. Please jump on board and do what you can. Many thanks.

"Caritas Christi urget nos".  A better consideration for the here and now I think is this: charity does not look at the past, but the present. As Padre Pio said: "My God I commend my past to Thy mercy, my present to Thy love, and my future to Thy providence". Here is a practical way to love God in our neighbour and in our priests. I have no doubt these funds could easily be raised if there were a little more zeal on the part of those of us in the developed nations.

"Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me".

Somehow I missed this email from Fr Onuorah from December 11 which should have been posted before the one above:

Greetings in Our Lord Jesus Christ my dear brother... hope you are fine today. To the glory of God the Church building construction work is moving gradually. As you can see in the 3 pictures I sent you, we have finished casting the right hand side of the lintel chaining of one length side of the Church together with the 3 arcs of the 3 side Altars in that line also completed casting their 3 parapets. In the other two pictures you will see that we are at the process of casting the lintel chaining of the left hand side length of the Church building together with the 3 arcs and the 3 parapets. We will continue with the lintel chaining of the sanctuary side and the gallery side before we enter the decking of the gallery.
We give all honour and glory to God and thank you most sincerely for your generous donations which is helping us to keep working.
God bless you.

Fr Joseph Onuorah.
