Not sure why people keep assuming this was a new lady..
Because their feminized minds can't comprehend that a woman can do anything wrong.

Feminized logic -- The lady must be new, or else she would know better.  And if she knows better, she could never dress poorly, because women don't do that.

Reality -- I just heard a story about a Trad priest who was giving marriage instructions to a couple.  The wedding was only a week away.  The man was from the priest's chapel and the woman was from out of town.  The priest told the couple to make sure all the dresses were modest, including those of the bridesmaids, as the couple was responsible for the wedding party.

The day of the wedding, the bride herself shows up in an immodest wedding gown.  The priest tells her, "Your dress is immodest and you have 2 options.  Go into the back room and take the curtains off the wall and cover yourself up or I don't do the wedding."  The woman wore curtains in the church, so she could get married.  But she was forced to.

Perhaps parts of her gown were gone with the wind in the parking lot.
Her first name was Scarlet and she was marrying Mr. O’Hara, or the chapel had beautiful curtains.  Since the priest proceeded with the wedding, she had enough class not to have said, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a dam_.”

Isn't it charity to assume the best intentions from others?

Rather than feminized logic, that's simply an exaggerated form of chivalry.

:laugh2:  If a lady shows up to a Trad chapel half-dressed, and she is a regular attendee, then she's wrong.  She can have the best intentions in the world, but she's still immodest.
