Wow. They've really tried going out of their way this time. I got a giant packet from the SSPX, including fancy CDs of Father Themann's talks, and even a summary and a long letter from Bishop Fellay. Anyone else get this garbage (cause that's where it went?)
-
Nope, not yet at least.
Marsha
-
I would return the 'giant packet'.
-
Those on the Regina Coeli mailing list will receive it.

Those on the Regina Coeli mailing list will receive it.
So that is where everyone's money is going. The funds from Fr. Rostand's "2012 Lenten Appeal". Support us, so we can "support" your chapel.
Remember the slogan: "You need your chapel. And your chapel needs you." appeal?

-
I'm not on the mailing list, but the CDs were available for anyone interested at our chapel.
-
In Phoenix too, mention was made of the CDs being in the bookstore. I don't know if they are giving them away or selling them.

It would be your call to estimate the funding required to undertake this
initiative. If the CDs had color images printed on them and came in
'jewel' cases with glossy fold-out indexes they may have run up to $2 or
$3 to produce. Then with the printed material, another dollar or two,
so you could be up to $10 or $15, plus postage -- that would be close
to $20. Then times it by the mailing list, what, 2,000 recipients, and
that could be $40,000 to send out a promo for more money, basically.
If they can't impress you with sound teaching (then they would make
themselves look like Resistance priests!) they resort to pompous the
windbag approach, you know, so at least you can think you're getting
SOMETHING for your money!

There was more --
"I know you want to do all you can to help your chapel, so as an extra incentive, I'm offering you unique packages as my way of saying "thank you" for your support (please see insert for photos and descriptions)."
And --
"P.S.: Your gift needs to be post marked no later than April 30, 2013 in order to be eligible for these special offers!"
Evidently too many didn't 'make it' by April 30th, and, sadly, too many
never 'made it' at all. That's because they were never 'sent' ........ :)
So, consequently, Fr. Rostand had stockpiles leftover, which he doesn't
want to become outdated, so he's doing the PR re-branding thing and
sending it out for PR purposes. Only the PR people didn't figure we
would be onto this scheme. Plus, remember, their service doesn't come
with any guarantees. They rely entirely on the success of their past
clients to promote their own credibility. Remember: they didn't want
the SSPX to be a "blemish" on their reputation.
As one of their former clients said, "You cain't always git what you
want." And he was a Brit, using an American accent! (joke)
But seriously,
I would return the 'giant packet'.
Good idea. Write on there: "Thanks but no thanks -- P.S. I want my
money back."

In the more "controversial" chapels the package is being given away, in some others they'll try to make a buck or two.

Reminds me of Brother Dimond of the Holy Family Monastery.
He has an agenda and produced and gave away many free DVDs.
No on has figured out where he got the money to do this?

Bishop Fellay's letter to friends and benefactors.
My mother and I got done reading it together, and when we got to the end of it, we were like, :stare: "What is your actual point? When you write a letter, you should have an actual point in writing it."
When I started reading Fr. Rostand's letter, my BS detector started going of right away. (I gave the packet to my mother, which included a letter from Fr. Rostand, several pages of what appeared to be some kind of catechism lesson from Bishop Fellay, a 2-3 CD set of "Resistance to What?" [lol] and a companion, of sorts, to Fr. Themann's "Resistance to What?". ) When I get the stuff back, I wrote notes there, so I will share my thoughts with you (which Fr. Rostand would probably say is sinful, but I'd like to remind Fr. Rostand that LYING IS ALSO A SIN [remember when you told us that the missal at the altar that you all were using was the same missal that Fr. Bolduc used when he had Mass? You lied. Yes, you did. You lied.] )
When I read that companion (because I heard enough in the first 20 minutes of Fr. Themann's talk online before I even got it on CD to get so nauseated as to be forced to shut it off) with my mom, we got about halfway through it before she had to leave, but I wrote a ton of notes there, and I can't wait to discuss what my mom finds in the rest of it with her, and then come here and share it all with you all.
Anyway, the reasoning there is so flawed, I wonder what kind of philosophy class he really took, because I've never heard of "speculative truth." I mean, here's the definition of 'speculative."
Speculative.
1: involving, based on, or constituting intellectual speculation; also : theoretical rather than demonstrable <speculative knowledge>
2: marked by questioning curiosity <gave him a speculative glance>
3: of, relating to, or being a financial speculation <speculative stocks> <speculative venture>
synonyms: notional - theoretical
These seem to be contradictory terms. A speculative truth? Um... yeah. No. This is not something Saint Thomas Aquinas would have ascribed to.
If something is true, then it either is true, or it's NOT true. Ugh. Anyway, later I'll comment on more of it.
OH I ALMOST FORGOT! Of course, there was an envelop to donate. And on the front of the big white manilla envelop, It said "THE SSPX, FALSELY ACCUSED."
I loled.

OH I ALMOST FORGOT! Of course, there was an envelop to donate. And on the front of the big white manilla envelop, It said, "THE SSPX, FALSELY ACCUSED."
I loled.
I'd get out a red Sharpie and do this:
RESISTANCE
"THE SSPX,/ FALSELY ACCUSED."
Inside, I'd put a note:
TWIMC: Please know the megabucks reserved for the winner
goes to the winner, not the loser, and you're the latter.
The winner is a lot of competition: St. Marcel Initiative; OLMC
Church, Boston KY; The Recusant; St. Joseph Protector of the
Church (www.sacrificium.org); St. Joseph Carmel, Brilon-Wald;
Dom Tomás de Aquino, Nova Friburgo, Brazil; and an undisclosed
Resistance supporter who needs the money a lot more than
you do, since you'll just waste it on destroying the Society.
Can you imagine their reaction when half the envelopes are
coming in like that?
If their jaw drops, then they'll know how Fr. Girouard felt.
But probably not, actually! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
The day after I received the packet I gave it to Fr. Hewko. I am eager to hear what he has to say about it.
I too laughed out loud when I read the outside envelope (SSPX Falsely Accused).
One good thing about the packet, however. I am now reminded to take our family off the SSPX mailing list.
-
Got my packet at catechism after Mass on Sun. First time I ever heard anyone even mention the resistance. Cheerfully told us that God burned Fr. Pfieffer's house down because of his disobedience. Wow.

That is a sick remark!
Disobedience to the cult of Bishop Fellay? For sure!
Rather, it is God who will burn a soul in hell who is "disobedient" to the Faith -Period.

This is something we don't want to make a mistake over.
Whose name is showing as the author? Date, sender's address,
context - what paragraph was it in? Why do you say, "cheerfully..?"
Let's see, this would be another example of the virtue of prudence?
Or, have they been misspelling "imprudence" because they didn't
want to say "brashness" or "gangster mentality" -- hmm?

So my dad and I were talking about it a little, and we were thinking of things to say about what we did with the packet we were sent. A couple of them were really funny. One of them was about expensive toilet paper, rather than toss it in the garbage bin. :jester:

To produce and mail to every one on their mailing list, in addition to sending large amounts of these CD's, with accompanying letters, to each chapel for "free" distribution of such a "giant" propaganda package requires a considerable amount of money.
Remember this branding thing of the new-sspx, in addition to Fr. Rostand asking for three "appeals" for money within 3-months of each other (Christmas appeal Dec. 2012, Lenten appeal 2013, and his recent Easter appeal March 27, 2013).
What a trickery of Fr. Rostand to play up on peoples "faith" and "emotion" to give to him money, and say there is "desperate" need with all of the "expenses" to run the District House and take the money to make a propaganda piece -is another sham- of a calculated agenda; like Bishop Fellay and his agenda to play on peoples "faith" and "emotion" to give to him some "rosary crusades" that went to his "staged" charade for his "practical deal" with conciliar Rome.
Another sham of the N-SSPX!
Next time there is a "plea" or an "appeal" for money, he gives me to think that he is going to turn it around again and use it to put out another propaganda hit piece.
I am NOT for sale!
-
A note explaining why they are not getting our $$ is a good idea, if I get a package I will do that. They need to hear from the hoi polloi.
Marsha
-
Here's the package I received:
-
I wonder how many people who will use the information actually need it in physical form?
Could they not put an MP3 file on the website and produce all that paper in PDF format.
A substantial proportion of the laity must have computers and Internet.
I guess the old ladies with the houses don't, and one of them pays for this marketing campaign 5 to 10 times over which is why they print it.

There's no way this decision to go paper and snail mail on this promo
was a local one. It came from Menzingen. And that means it was a
component of the Dutch PR program package -- part of the 'new image.'
Why pay a pagan consultant forty thousand Euros for advice if you're
not going to follow it to the letter?
Not forty thousand? Whatever it was it was too much. One hundred
would be a crime just the same.
That should be an item for your note in the return envelope with the
red Sharpie carrot (^):
TWIMC:
Don't ask me for money, just call up your boss, B. Fellay and put in
a requisition for your share of his 80 million-Euro piggy bank. If he's
eager to pay a pagan in Holland for advice certainly he won't mind
helping out his own lapdog lemming sycophants at Regina Coeli
House!
When your customer has a package in hand it's like a present. He
feels obligated to open it and read the contents. If it were only an
e-mail it would most likely be deleted without ever having looked
at it. This is why I say we should print out copies of Fr. Girouard's
sermon within the octave of Corpus Christi and pass it around. If
you send people an e-mail with a link, they might open it and they
might not. If you hand them a good-looking sheet of paper, they're
going to hold it in their hands and look at it with their eyes.

NSA would no doubt hand the case over to USDA; AMM office (http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/detail/national/technical/nra/rca/?&cid=nrcs143_014211) to be more specific.

No one has spoken about CD cost yet (at least not anyone with experience in the field), so here goes:
The 2 CDs, without jewel cases, are only about 25 or 30 cents each. Possibly less.
Even the minimum order of 1,000 CDs, with all the fixins, comes out to around $1100.
That includes a 2-sided, 4 page full color insert, jewel case & tray, assembly, and the CD itself.
If you just want the CDs, it would be much cheaper.
And as you might guess, all the work is setting up the machine. The 2nd 1,000 CDs costs the factory much less time & money than the first 1,000 -- and they pass a lot of that savings along to their client.
The SSPX obviously ordered more than 1,000. And they didn't spring for a jewel case. Oh, and that lack of jewel case makes the CDs weigh only a couple ounces. That saves on mailing cost.
So they didn't do a bad job economizing. Like GGreg said, the "retired" set DEMANDS a physical format (rather than something online or digital), and these folks are retired, with 40 years of work under their belts, often with nest eggs, and are trying to help the Church and store up treasure for heaven as they feel Death get close to their subdivision, if not their front door.
So just one "hit" pays for hundreds or even thousands of "misses".
-
Has anyone realized yet --
The SSPX must be hurting, or at least fearful of what the Resistance could do, to spend such resources in their war against it.
* All the propaganda ("Against the Rumors", propagating the sermon, "Resistance to What?", etc.)
* Plane tickets for Accordista priests to visit far-flung areas to keep the sheep in line
* Legal fees to threaten various parishioners
etc.
They seem to be spending a lot of attention, time, and money on the Resistance.
[34] But one in the council rising up, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, respected by all the people, commanded the men to be put forth a little while. [35] And he said to them: Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do, as touching these men.
[36] For before these days rose up Theodas, affirming himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all that believed him were scattered, and brought to nothing. [37] After this man, rose up Judas of Galilee, in the days of the enrolling, and drew away the people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as consented to him, were dispersed. [38] And now, therefore, I say to you, refrain from these men, and let them alone; for if this council or this work be of men, it will come to nought; [39] But if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God.
Isn't it ironic that the "kindler, gentler" SSPX is focusing on the "positives of Tradition" while not being combative against Vatican II, Modernism, and the Conciliar Church hierarchy, all the while using a jackboot on their own members who dare to stand up for the original principles of the SSPX?
So they not only laid down their arms in the fight against Modernism, but they take up these same weapons and fire them at their own side! What vile treachery.
-
So evidently, the people getting this packet are targeted. It's not just everyone getting these. They're being sent to certain people. The people I'm in contact with haven't gotten one, so I think this garbage is being sent to a very targeted group of individuals.
-

* Plane tickets for Accordista priests to visit far-flung areas to keep the sheep in line

etc.
* Don't forget the CDs and the required 'announcements' of their
availability in the parish bookstores - part of a fundraiser plan to
prop up this 'friendly fire war' against faithful Catholics in their ranks,
* and the re-branding campaign - sure, it was started before the
Resistance got off the ground, but it continues apace with the re-
building of websites, re-making of the Angelus, and all the Society-
wide design look of stationery, brochures and promos.
They seem to be spending a lot of attention, time, and money on the Resistance.
The fact that they're reacting means they see it as a threat.
They don't realize all the money they spend AGAINST the Resistance
only goes to make the Resistance stronger. "But if it be of God, you
cannot overthrow it..." (v. 39).
[34] But one in the council rising up, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, respected by all the people, commanded the men to be put forth a little while. [35] And he said to them: Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do, as touching these men.

As Fr. Pfeiffer says, you know it's a DOCTRINAL issue because
it comes with PUNISHMENTS. It comes with CONDEMNATION.
It comes with EXPULSIONS and TRANSFERS and GUARDED
OBSERVATION (aka "being on probation").
So they not only laid down their arms in the fight against Modernism, but they take up these same weapons and fire them at their own side! What vile treachery.
Excellent point, Matthew! In laying down their arms against
the unclean spirit of Vat.II and the Newmass and false
ecuмenism and religious liberty and false collegiality and
indifferentism and all the rotten errors of these new popes
(the list is too long to mention!), the 'kinder gentler SSPX"
not only gives up the fight, but is DETERMINED to do so, and
we don't need to hear them say as much because they prove
it's true when they pick up their arms to friendly fire them
against their own -- against good Catholics who dare to
continue the traditional Church Militant by fighting in the open
against heresy and scandal.
So evidently, the people getting this packet are targeted. It's not just everyone getting these. They're being sent to certain people. The people I'm in contact with haven't gotten one, so I think this garbage is being sent to a very targeted group of individuals.
My suspicion is, it's the mail list that is earmarked for having been
those who have previously sent large contributions or substantial
regular ones. IOW - the demographic that has shown itself to be
capable of significant extortion -- I mean, participation.
-
For the N-SSPX to send out these "Hit Packets" to everyone, at a considerable cost of money, shows that no one has been buying their propaganda pieces they have been conducting throughout the past year.
They now have to shove it in our mail boxes to plead with us to believe them that they are just being "kind and gentle" in wanting to bring us into the dungeons of apostate Rome.
I have a question?
Menzingen and Fr. Rostand, how about staying on ABL's tried and true position of Jesus Christ alone, without submitting to the other religion with it's admixture of other gods?
-
I haven't given, honestly, but $10 to the SSPX the entire time I've been there in "voluntary" contributions. (Edit: The entire time I've received any sacraments from them. My entire life. Father Bolduc was not in the SSPX. I'm not talking about Saint Michael's donations in the past. I'm talking about when I was confirmed, or visiting on vacation an SSPX church.)
I think they know I'm talking to people at one of their "volatile" parishes, and they hope to get me to shut up. I'm hearing it from one of my best friend's sons, talking to my brother, to tell me to shut up. I'm hearing it from others that I should just shut up. Now, my phone calls are not being returned from a certain person I thought I could count on...
They see me as a threat. Maybe the ripple effect of my not shutting up may be costing them money.
THIS IS NOT AN SSPX PARISH, as much as they want it to be.... YET. And as long as it isn't, I'm NOT going to shut up!

Yeah, they are obviously worried the SSPX-Resistance is growing.
They must have some other index to gauge this, besides their normal donation receipts.
Maybe the defection of some key people?
I would expect that after the neoSSPX "Branding" scandal takes full effect, they will become even more desperate.
Branding is not a dinner table topic that your average neoSSPX trad could defend easily.

Dinner table conversation needs to be affected far and wide.
When you print out copies of the Corpus Christi sermon of Fr. Girouard,
be sure to write on the last page "www.sacrificium.org"
so the recipient can go to Fr's. excellent website.
When we made the upload files the new website was not quite
operational yet, so we didn't put that on the front page like it should be.
We can expect a lot of great progress to arise from the addition of
Fr. Girouard to the ranks of the Resistance. His arrival is a signal grace.
And it's something Menzingen did its best to prevent. They tried to get
him tucked away and under guard in a cush rectory and nice church,
but he was wise to their schemes, and he even averted their
interference with his departure by going incognito, wearing civilian
clothes and avoiding all meetings with those who know him.
I hope some day he can write an autobiography.

Wow! ....this story turned AF into a creative wildman.
-
Just got ours today.
Was wondering whether or not we would get one.
We're not even registered at our chapel.
Signed up for Regina Coeli a while back.
They're spending a lot of money on this, and sending it to anyone whose address they know.

It fits their M.O.
They're using everything at their disposal in this war.
Angelus Press, for example. Remember the e-blast that offered a discount if you sign up for their mailing list, and/or sign up 5 friends? (I can't remember the exact details. Maybe they had a membership goal, and if they reached it, everyone would get a discount? Something like that).
I just noted that the SSPX is using its book publishing arm in the war. This was June or July 2012.
Which is why we need to be careful who/what we support -- this is Total War. If Angelus Press is flush with cash, they can do that much more damage to souls (by spreading lies and confusion about the Resistance, etc.)
I guess we need to look elsewhere for such books. Or at least restrict yourself to buying works by the Archbishop! That'll show them where the true demand is.
They can't do TOO much with your $15. Just don't buy Missals, etc. from them.
As Fr. Chazal said, This is War!

Or even, the "Branded New SSPX". :surprised:

When I was a nipper (I'm dating myself, ah, no I'm not going out with myself) there used to be one extra annual collection. Now, it seems we get an extra one thrown in every other week. Now we know how all those big packets of disinformation were paid for. I did read some of the stuff but the blighters just rephrased the same old rubbish they been putting out all along.

I bought my missal from Angelus Press a few years ago, so they must have my address, but I haven't gotten anything from them recently.

We should have a contest for ideas on the new SSPX logo and catch phrase.
The winner gets a $10 gift certificate on a CI Amazon purchase.

That is a great idea, Incred.
-
I wouldn't use a 1962 Missal. I don't care who prints it and especially the SSPX. That's a double NO-NO.

I got mine in the mail today.
Words fail me . . . . . . . . . for now . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Oh goodness, that's right. That stupid slogan was on the outside cover so you could see it before you pitched it into the circular file.
I have to think about that now.

Think about.... expensive toilet paper. :clown:

Got my packet at catechism after Mass on Sun. First time I ever heard anyone even mention the resistance. Cheerfully told us that God burned Fr. Pfieffer's house down because of his disobedience. Wow.
Boy, that sounds like "rash judgment" to me!

Sounds like an uncharitable comment, rash judgment, and someone with some serious spiritual issues. I'm not kidding, either.
And they dare to criticize the Resistance! I seldom ever hear such uncharitable talk on our side, even from the hotheads.
-
So my dad and I were talking about it a little, and we were thinking of things to say about what we did with the packet we were sent. A couple of them were really funny. One of them was about expensive toilet paper, rather than toss it in the garbage bin. :jester:
The only problem is, the higher-quality paper they use (to impress, no doubt), makes it quite useless as TP!
-
So evidently, the people getting this packet are targeted. It's not just everyone getting these. They're being sent to certain people. The people I'm in contact with haven't gotten one, so I think this garbage is being sent to a very targeted group of individuals.
In our Chapel, the packets were mailed to some, but also appeared to be personally handed-delivered after Mass to suspected Resistance sympathizers who are not on the mailing list.

I was just thinking that when the Church was in it's infancy, why the apostles didn't have some clever Jews to "brand" the Catholic Church then....
Bottom line: "My ways are not your ways, says the Lord"
-
I took out my recycling the other day and when I went to retrieve the bin there lays the "SSPX: Resistance to What?" packet with a note attached stating that "WE DON'T RECYCLE THIS JUNK!"
BTW, make sure your next "packet" doesn't contain any ricin.

I should add -- this wasn't "Fr. Pfeiffer's house" that burnt down. It was his PARENTS' house.
You know, those parents who suffered through double-digit miscarriages? Who wanted many children but had to bear the cross of a small family?
What a cruel, heartless, callous, uncharitable thing to do -- to use a person's cross as propaganda for an evil cause like "Vatican II in the SSPX".
These men will stop at nothing. We're fighting THE battle here, folks. Just the latest episode in the War we all fight every day against Principalities and Powers.
-
No matter how much the SSPX pays for glossy mailings and advertising, they will not succeed if they are not doing the will of God. The fact of the matter is that the number of people who approve of them is not at issue with God. They may keep most of the faithful that just want the mass, but the real church millitant will leave when they realize that they have been deceived. And they will start over just like they have always done before. The SSPX may have the buildings, a bright expensive shiny new seminary of compromise, but we will have the Faith.

Fr. Pfeiffer's PARENTS' house burned down because of a short in an upstairs air conditioner. Since when has God become an arsonist for revenge? What a sick comment! But now the central location at OL of Mt. Carmel is cleared for the building of a seminary, new church, dormitory, school, etc.! Nobody sustained so much as a scratch or bruise. If the fire had started several hours earlier it is likely lives would have been lost. Praise God for His mercy!

He topped it off with a "Kentucky Fried Priests" joke. Also put down +W and made fun of resistance faithful. Urged everyone to listen to Fr. Theman and to only go to the official SSPX site on the internet. I was surprised because it is the first word I have ever heard form anyone Priest or lay at this chapel about anything to do with the resistance, the deal, or the sacking of +W. I really don't think anyone else seemed to even know what he was talking about, they just smiled and nodded.

Fr. Hewko has made no mention of the packet as of yet, but I suspect next Sunday it will be brought up in the sermons and/or catechism.
My chapel still carries both missals.

Fr. Pfeiffer is on top of this nonsense of Fr. Themann.
What we have in the two deplorable CDs is hard evidence of the
scandalous corruption endemic in the ExSPX.
Go to THIS THREAD (http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php/Fr-Pfeiffer-takes-on-Resistance-to-What-of-Fr-Themann) for the link to get a VLC download of Fr. Pfeiffer's
50-minute conference of two days ago, the 4th Sunday after
Pentecost.
If you had any doubts before whether this is war or not, this
ought to settle the question for you.
Fr. Themann is an ecclesiastical criminal. He is abusing his position
of APPEARING to be a teacher of Catholic doctrine which provides
the basis by which a well-meaning soul in the state of grace can
come to correct conclusions -- by listening to his words on this utterly
deplorable and contemptible two CD set.
But the fact is, such a soul can only be confused and misled into
ERROR by listening to Fr. Themann's words, which are steeped in
heresy, lies, misrepresentation of error as if it were truth, and
therefore anyone who threw them into the dustbin forthwith made
no mistake whatsoever.
The crass malfeasance of this noxious garbage should be proclaimed
from the housetops. Make no mistake about it. Fr. Themann should
be called to task for his most serious sin of deception perpetrated
upon the unsuspecting Faithful of the SSPX chapels worldwide.
How many thousands of people today are listening to these two CDs,
nodding their heads innocently, and thinking that what they are
hearing is worthy of their attention?
The fact that what they are hearing could very well lead their souls
into hell forever is what they really ought to know.
The matter is subtle and the subject is delicate, but upon false
principles can be constructed a vast edifice of illusion that has no
good in it, even though it appears good. This is a most serious
problem that cannot be set aside as if it is unimportant. This is
what Modernism is all about, and it is the Grand Sewer of all
heresies.
Please spread the word. The battle of Principalities and Powers
rages on apace, for those with eyes to see and ears to hear.

Can someone scan or type in the letter of Fr. Rostand that was in that packet. I have not seen it yet. The rest of the packet is already available on the internet.
Thank you.
There is a "Letter from the District Superior" (Fr. Arnaud Rostand)
on page 2 and 3 of the booklet, "Regina Coeli Report - Number 250
Special Edition - June 2013."
Is that what you're asking for?
It begins thusly:
Dear Faithful,
The past months have been full of incidents: we have especially
learned of the abdication of Benedict XVI and observed the election
of Pope Francis... (300 words of equivocation follow) ... I would like
therefore to take this opportunity to warn you against grave errors
and injustice committed against the Society and its superiors in the
past few months... It is very understandable that with this confusion
some of you may have been misled.
(He then attempts to employ the Retreat Principles of St. Ignatius
of Loyola to make readers ignore the Resistance, IOW) ...
Therefore, for the good of the faithful of the US District, I deplore
publicly and firmly this injustice committed in the recent controversy
by Bishop Williamson and a few dissident priests.
Etc., etc.
Turn the page and see beginning, on Page 4, of Fr. Daniel Themann's
injustice committed against the Society -- by a conspicuously
dissident priest who abuses his position of Catholic teacher to
spread lies and heresy in full view and printed right there on the
pages of the Regina Coeli Report itself, under the cover of Fr.
Rostand's denouncement of this very same thing, but slyly directed
at someone else!
You can't make this stuff up.

Imagine that -- here the re-branded ExSPX is trying to be up-to-date
and appealing at large, and they're paying no attention to "being green"
or Agenda 21. Looks like they still have a lot of "improvement" to do.
Until they can manage to confine their propaganda materials to
environmentally-friendly items, they'll never meet the expectations of
their target audience, unfortunately.

Sorry, I can't help you. I'm sure someone out there can, though. My set
does not include the cover letter.
It seems that cover letter is the thing that is being ignored more than any
other component of the packet.
Perhaps Lourdes Fatima could scan the letter since he/she seems to be
up on posting images and has the goods???

Rev. Fr. Arnaud Rostand District Superior
SSPX
May 22nd, 2013
Dear Faithful,
We are happy to be sending you this package. In it, you will find a
special issue of the Regina Coeli Report, the latest Letter to Friends
and Benefactors of Bishop Fellay, and the recording of an important
conference given by Fr. David Themann in St. Marys on April 16, 2013.
This special edition will present our evaluation of the so-called
resistance, which has been sowing discord in our apostolate during
the last several months.
I call your attention in particular to the very useful timeline showing
the development of relations between Rome and the Society of Saint
Pius X. We are confident that the conference and its summary will
both encourage you to remain strong in the faith of which the SSPX
has always been the defender, and dissipate the rumors and errors
whose effect, if not intent, is to scatter the flock.
In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
:king:
Father Arnaud Rostand.
(USA district etc. at bottom right of letterhead format)
Note: "...the latest Letter to Friends and Benefactors of Bishop Fellay..."
I.e., They are benefactors of B. Fellay, and his friends, not the Society's.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
.
I would like to be the first to thank Fr. Rostand for his excellent use
of the English language, which is not his native tongue. This letter
goes a long way to showing what a foreigner can do if he puts his
mind to it, and the clarity of his thinking that can be communicated
by proper English to an English-speaking audience.
We do not have to wonder what he means, and that's a big help.
That's what I have in favor of his letter, but I wanted to make it
known from the start, lest anyone accuse me otherwise.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . :furtive: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
(I can almost imagine them saying in their dinnertime conversation in
French - German - Italian and perhaps even Latin: "It took them
until page 16, and at least as many days, to post anything showing
any appreciation for your efforts, Fr. Rosty.")
-
.
Now see here: anyone who wants to detract from my thanks to
Fr. R., above, by saying that it wasn't him but the starving college
English major whom he hired that made this letter what it is, all I
can say is, "At least he hired a starving student, when B. Fellay
insists on going it alone."
Maybe B. Fellay can take a lesson from his inferior --
but then again, probably not. --------------- :jester:

Those on the Regina Coeli mailing list will receive it.
I have yet to receive it. But then, I might be off the mailing list. I did, however, get a free copy of the new "Angelus" magazine after making a purchase in the chapel bookstore. That's never happened before.

The Cover Letter by Fr. Rostand to the US District:
Rev. Fr. Arnaud Rostand District Superior
SSPX
May 22nd, 2013
Dear Faithful,
We are happy to be sending you this package. In it, you will find a

conference given by Fr. David Themann in St. Marys on April 16, 2013.

I call your attention in particular to the very useful timeline showing

both encourage you to remain strong in the faith of which the SSPX
has always been the defender, and dissipate the rumors and errors
whose effect, if not intent, is to scatter the flock.
In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
:king:
Father Arnaud Rostand.
(USA district etc. at bottom right of letterhead format)
I call your attention to the last paragraph where Fr. Rostand says that he
calls your attention in particular to the very useful timeline, that is, useful
for us to take detailed notes of its half-truths and filtered facts that ignore
everything that might be inconvenient for the agenda of aggiornamento
with apostate Rome.
The paragraph ends saying that "We are confident that the conference
and its summary will... dissipate the rumors and errors whose effect, if
not intent, is to scatter the flock."
Where had I heard this before, I asked myself. Before too long, it came to
me, let's say. It is found in the paragraph that a subsequent pope had
removed from the long version of the Leonine Prayer of Exorcism from
A.D. 1890. Since in Latin it's a paragraph that is broken into two
paragraphs in the English translation, I'll provide both English paragraphs,
which go like this:
On men depraved in mind and corrupt in heart the wicked dragon pours out like a most foul river, the poison of his villainy, a spirit of lying, impiety and blasphemy, and the deadly breath of lust and of all iniquities and vices.
His most crafty enemies [of the Church] have engulfed the Church, the Spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, with sorrows; they have drenched her with wormwood; on all her desirable things they have laid their wicked hands. Where the See of the Blessed Peter and the Chair of Truth have been set up for the light of the Gentiles, there they have placed the throne of the abomination of their wickedness, so that, the Pastor having been struck, they may also be able to scatter the flock.
If you have any doubts whether this is accurate, you're welcome to
So, Fr. Rostand is co-opting a theme from Scripture and from the venerable
Pope Leo XIII, which foretells of the throne of Peter being the target of the
devil such that the pastor might be struck and the flock therefore scattered,
and he is implying that the Resistance is now attempting to do this very thing,
by its "rumors and errors, whose effect, if not intent, is to scatter the flock."
And by so doing, Fr. Rostand, in typical liberal style, uses words he
attempts to direct against his opponents that much more accurately
describe himself and his liberal associates than they do anyone else
in view.
I have to wonder if he stays up late at night smoking something to be
able to come up with stuff like this? :smoke-pot:
For those who may be interested, here is the link to the source and the
full text of the (long form) Leonine Exorcism prayer (at the end I have
also included the short form that we now use for Prayers after Low Mass):
Source (http://www.traditioninaction.org/religious/b014rpExocrcism.htm)
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, Amen.
Psalm lxvii
Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered: and let them that hate Him flee from before His Face!
As smoke vanisheth, so let them vanish away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
Psalm xxxiv
Judge Thou, O Lord, them that wrong me: overthrow them that fight against me.
Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek after my soul. Let them be turned back and be confounded that devise evil against me.
Let them become as dust before the wind: and let the Angel of the Lord straighten them.
Let their way become dark and slippery: and let the Angel of the Lord pursue them.
For without cause they have hidden their net for me unto destruction: without cause they have upbraided my soul.
Let the snare which he knoweth not, come upon him: and let the net which he hath hidden, catch him: and into that very snare let him fall.
But my soul shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall be delighted in His salvation .
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
O most glorious Prince of the Heavenly Armies, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in our wrestling against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places (Eph. vi. 12). Come to the aid of men, whom God created incorruptible, and to the image of His own Likeness He made them, and from the tyranny of the devil He bought them at a great price (Wis ii. 23, I Cor vii. 23).
Fight the battles of the Lord today with the Army of the Blessed Angels, as once thou didst fight against Lucifer, the first in pride, and his apostate angels; and they prevailed not: neither was their place found anymore in Heaven. But that great dragon was cast out, the old serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who seduces the whole world. And he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him (Apoc. xii. 8-9).
Behold, the ancient enemy and murderer strongly raises his head! Transformed into an angel of light, with the entire horde of wicked spirits he goes about everywhere and takes possession of the earth, so that therein he may blot out the Name of God and of His Christ and steal away, afflict and ruin unto everlasting destruction the souls destined for a crown of eternal glory.
On men depraved in mind and corrupt in heart the wicked dragon pours out like a most foul river, the poison of his villainy, a spirit of lying, impiety and blasphemy, and the deadly breath of lust and of all iniquities and vices.
His most crafty enemies have engulfed the Church, the Spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, with sorrows; they have drenched her with wormwood; on all her desirable things they have laid their wicked hands. Where the See of the Blessed Peter and the Chair of Truth have been set up for the light of the Gentiles, there they have placed the throne of the abomination of their wickedness, so that, the Pastor having been struck, they may also be able to scatter the flock.
Therefore, O thou unconquerable Leader, be present with the people of God and against the spiritual wickedness which are bursting in upon them; and bring them the victory. The Holy Church venerates thee as its guardian and patron; and it glories in the fact that thou art its defender against the wicked powers of earth and hell. To thee the Lord has assigned the souls of the redeemed to be placed in Heavenly bliss. Beseech the God of Peace to crush Satan under our feet, that he may no more be able to hold men captive and to harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that the mercies of the Lord may quickly come to our aid, that thou mayest seize the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and satan and that having bound him, thou mayest cast him into the bottomless pit, so that he may no more seduce the nations (Apoc. xx. 3).
Hence confiding in thy protection and guardianship,..
(for priests: by the sacred authority of our ministry,)
(For laymen: by the sacred authority of Holy Mother Church),
..we confidently and securely begin the task in the name of Jesus Christ our God and Lord, of driving away the attacks of diabolical deceit.
V. Behold the Cross of the Lord, flee away ye hostile forces.
R. The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David hath conquered
V. May Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
R. Because we have hoped in Thee.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer,

Let us pray:
O God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we invoke Thy holy name, and we humbly implore Thy mercy, that by the intercession of the Mother of God Mary Immaculate ever Virgin, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of Blessed Joseph the Spouse of the same Blessed Virgin, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul and of all the Saints, Thou wouldst deign to afford us help against Satan and all the other unclean spirits and against whatever wanders throughout the world to do harm to the human race and to ruin souls, through the same Christ Our Lord,
R. Amen.
Exorcism
We cast you out, every unclean spirit, every satanic power, every onslaught of the infernal adversary, every legion, every diabolical group and sect, in the name and by the power of our Lord Jesus + Christ. We command you, begone and fly far from the Church of God, from the souls made by God in His Image and redeemed by the Precious Blood of the Divine Lamb. + No longer dare, cunning serpent, to deceive the human race, to persecute God's Church, to strike God's elect and to sift them as wheat. + For the Most High God commands you, + He to Whom you once proudly presumed yourself equal; He Who wills all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of Truth commands you. (I Tim ii. 4)
God the Father + commands you. The Son of God + commands you. God the Holy + Ghost commands you. Christ, the Eternal Word of God made flesh, commands + you, Who humbled Himself, becoming obedient even unto death (Phil. ii. 8), to save our race from the perdition wrought by your envy; Who founded His Church upon a firm Rock, declaring that the gates of hell should never prevail against her, and that He would remain with her all days, even to the end of the world. (Mt. xxviii. 20) The sacred mystery of the Cross commands you, along with the power of all mysteries of Christian Faith. + The exalted Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, + commands you, who in her lowliness crushed your proud head from the first moment of her Immaculate Conception. The Faith of the holy Apostles Peter and Paul and the other Apostles + commands you. The blood of martyrs and the devout prayers of all holy men and women command + you.
Thus, cursed dragon, and you, diabolical legions, we adjure you by the living God, + by the true God, + by the holy God, + by the God who so loved the world that He gave up His only Son, that every soul believing in Him might not perish but have life everlasting;" (Jn iii. 16) cease deceiving human creatures and pouring out to them the poison of eternal damnation; cease harming the Church and hindering her liberty.
Begone, Satan, inventor and master of all deceit, enemy of man's salvation. Give place to Christ in Whom you have found none of your works; give place to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church acquired by Christ at the price of His Blood. Stoop beneath the all-powerful Hand of God; tremble and flee when we invoke the Holy and terrible Name of Jesus, this Name which causes hell to tremble, this Name to which the Virtues, Powers and Dominations of heaven are humbly submissive, this Name which the Cherubim and Seraphim praise unceasingly repeating: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord, the God of Hosts.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto Thee.
(For Priests: V. May the Lord be with thee.
R. And with thy spirit.)
Let us pray.
God of heaven, God of earth, God of Angels, God of Archangels, God of Patriarchs, God of Prophets, God of Apostles, God of Martyrs, God of Confessors, God of Virgins, God Who has power to give life after death and rest after work: because there is no other God than Thee and there can be no other, for Thou art the Creator of all things, visible and invisible, of Whose reign there shall be no end, we humbly prostrate ourselves before Thy glorious Majesty and we beseech Thee to deliver us by Thy power from all the tyranny of the infernal spirits, from their snares, their lies and their furious wickedness.
Deign, O Lord, to grant us Thy powerful protection and to keep us safe and sound. We beseech Thee through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
V. From the snares of the devil,
R. Deliver us, O Lord.
V. That Thy Church may serve Thee in peace and liberty:
R. We beseech Thee to hear us.
V. That Thou may crush down all enemies of Thy Church:
R. We beseech Thee to hear us.
Holy water is sprinkled in the place

Sáncte Míchael Archángele, defénde nos in proélio, cóntra nequítiam et insídias diáboli ésto præsídium. Saint Michael, Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God command him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Holy Michael archangel, defend us in the day of battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God thrust down to hell Satan and all wicked spirits, who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.

Alternatively,
Any of the other variations in use. It is noteworthy that this one
prayer has so many versions in English, such that at any gathering
of Catholics who do not normally meet for this, when this prayer is
recited as a group, it sounds a bit like the Tower of Babble.
And, as with so many of our current problems, the answer to this
one is to revert back to the Latin original, and then everyone can
say the same words. However, even that is not the answer when
the priest leading the prayers rushes on ahead, oblivious to the
slower pace of the congregation full of people who do not daily
recite Latin prayers, and therefore the sound of Babble returns due
to the fact that everyone is saying the same words at a different
speed, which causes some people to drop some words so as to
catch up, and then they get confused or perhaps stop their
prayer altogether.
Which reminds me, shouldn't we be saying the exorcism prayer
BEFORE we have Mass, instead of AFTER Low Mass? I mean, what
sense would there be in doing the exorcism prayers for a baby's
Baptism, but saying them AFTER the Baptism is done? Or, when
we say grace before meals, it is to remove the food from the
dominion of the devil -- why would we say that prayer AFTER we
have eaten already?
