  • Not heard much about the General Council other than the very unenlightening email sent by the SSPX Webmaster recently.

That said, does anyone know whether or not Bishop Williamson obeyed his illegal exclusion from the General Council?

    TKGS,

I have started a thread that deals with this matter :

  • I've been thinking the same thing. I have friends who are asking me, too, and I tell
    them I don't know.

It seems the whole GC affair is sewn up pretty tight, by design. As I've heard, this
is rather common, traditionally. They won't have any media there to give interviews
or run spots in the news or whatever. Think of it like a papal conclave: no press
    allowed.

And you know the press would love to be there, because "inquiring minds want to
    know!"

We'll see all too soon. Monday is the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, one of the
few days that survived the liturgical calendar revolution in the 1960's commensurate
with the carpetbagger Novus Ordo liturgy.

  • Well, it's Friday. Another day or two and we should know something about the status of this Rome-SSPX deal.

Only IF, in the Superior General's extraordinary wisdom, he deems that the lay faithful have a need to know anything.

For all we know, things might just start happening--certain parishes (all less than 3 years old) closing, the new Good Friday prayer used, the new and improved 1962 Missal showing up on the altars, etc., etc., etc.  And when you ask what's going on, you'll just be told to trust in the wisdom of the Superior General.

  • You think those things wouldn't be reported on CathInfo within hours?

We have the Internet -- things aren't going to sneak up on EVERYONE. The first time a non-1962 Missal is used, the first time ANYTHING new happens, we're all going to hear about it.

Who says the Internet is evil?

  • Am I seeing more and more pro-Fellay people waking up or is it just an impression of mine?

Perhaps a nebulous statement about confidence in the Superior General and undefinable future actions with Rome, followed, after a few days, by parts 4, 5, +6 of against the rumors....

Nope! they are coming out of the woodwork everywhere.
Can't resist taking a congratulatory bite out of Bishop Williamson.

It's activation of the +Fellay drones for the next phase; publicly trash anyone who doesn't praise his triumphant initiation into the Modernist Revolution.

Good find Infiguris, one doesn't even need to know French to get the jist of it.

  • I have a friend who attended his niece's confirmation about 6 years ago in Arcadia,
CA, when +de Mallerais was the celebrant. I spoke to him recently about that and
he told me (he usually attends Novus Ordo services) that "the whole thing was
in French, and I couldn't understand it."

I had been there too, for my own daughter was confirmed that day, and the sermon
was not in French. As I recall, he said one sentence or two in French, perhaps to
make his countrymen feel at home, but he spoke in English, with a French accent.

The post, above, by Infiguris, reminds me of my friend's experience. But I'm not
just here with a tin ear. What I see is French. So I'm at a loss.

Maybe it's time to take some French lessons???

  • What!?

Why isn't this letter being lambasted?  Has anyone READ the whole article, rather than just skimmed it (particularly the part at the end, talking about Bishop Fellay)?

It says that 2 or more bishops of the SSPX are Masonic infiltrators, including Bishop Williamson!

I don't want trash like that on my forum.
