Title: Frs. Voight, Hewko, Ringrose?
Post by: 1st Mansion Tenant on October 11, 2012, 06:41:28 PM
I have seen the videos of Frs Pheiffer an Chazal on Youtube, but there is no mention of the others who signed the letter pertaining to their cause. What has become of these priests? Did they back out? Are they in Kentucky? Are they back in +F's good graces?  Anybody know? Just wondering.... :scratchchin:

In answer to your question, to the best of my knowledge, Fr. Voigt is in Kentucky, Fr. Hewko is on leave of absence, and Fr. Ringrose is doing what he has always done, serving his flock in Vienna, VA.  At least, that's how I understand it, but I stand to be corrected.

'Leave of absence'? Is Fr. Hewko still with the SSPX or has he been officially expelled?

Fr. Hewko has not been expelled and he did not join the others in KY.  He chose to take a sabatical.

Fr. Hewko is in a safe place.  There are people who speak with him personally.  He is aware of what is happening and he has chosen neither to accept a transfer to Chicago as was present to him nor to join the other priests in KY.  There are people here who know Fr. Hewko and know exactly where he is and how to contact him.  Do not be deceived by those who speculate or want to you believe something that is not true.

Has Fr Hewko left the SSPX then and is an independent priest now?

Does anyone know whether, where, when, and by whom Fr. Voight was conditionally ordained?

No.  He is not publicly doing anything.  I do not believe anything is "official."  He is remaining quietly underground and speaks to people privately.  This is all I know.

Father Voigt was never conditionally ordained.  His orders were accepted as valid by the Society.

Dear  Tim,

When I came to Pius X Society I was required to present the ordination ceremony, the docuŠ¼ents concerning the ordination and the statements
from the Salesian Society.  All of which were evaluated by Bishop Fellay and Fr. John Fullerton, the District Superior.  They were satisfied that the
ordination which I had received lacked nothing of the essense for the priesthood so that they did not require or ask me to be conditional(ly) re-ordained.
In the aftermath of that I began to find traditionalist that question every ordination and so they caused doubts in the minds of the faithful.  Since I recognized
this as a problem I quietly went through the simple ceremony to be conditionally reordained.......
I don't spread this around because I don't believe my personal life is the business of the world.  Also I had the opportunity to study at Winona for the year and to be able to practice and appreciate all the aspects of the true and legitimate Holy Mass.
As you know I was asked to work with Fr. Grunner prior to my entrance into the Pius X apostolate in Syracuse, New York.
I have always had a good relationship with Frs. Joe and Tim Pfeiffer and believe them to be holy and apostolic priests who will not give in to the liberalism of the world.  So now I am working at the chapel on the Pfeiffer grounds and in the battle for the faith.  I suspect that the IA site is questioning my ordination and the validity of the masses which I offer.  I have not read it but I suspect it since I have had someone put my writings on that site.  Your email leads me to believe it even more.  Am I correct?

IN the Hearts of Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

Fr. Voigt

A letter from Father Voigt which was posted on Ignis Ardens.

A letter from Father Voigt which was posted on Ignis Ardens.

Thank you for this!  I had asked around, even a priest, about Fr. Voigt's Orders.  I was told as recently as two weeks ago that the Society accepted his orders as valid.  This does make sense though, that he was conditionally ordained quietly as a matter of personal conscience, and also that the Society did accept his Orders as valid.

Thanks so much.

Do you mind if I pass this to a friend?  We were just talking about this Saturday night.
