  • A FEW PRELIMINAQRY THOUGHTS ON THE ELECTION OF FRANCIS AS POPE

Facts about the newly elected pope's prior actions lead one to believe that he is at least as far left as John Paul II, and perhaps even farther to the left, and surely more left than Benedict XVI. From his ecuмenical gestures and his liturgical aberrations to his reluctance to allow the implementation of Summorum Pontificuм in his diocese, just to name a few things, we can expect a continued descent from what is truly Catholic, to a new level of post-Vatican II "development." One thing for sure, it shows how naive they are, who think things are getting better in the Vatican and that Rome is returning to Tradition. The Cardinals who elected Francis were in place when Bishop Fellay was ready to surrender the SSPX to the Vatican. Watch and pray -- to borrow a phrase.

    ....

May God bless our good priests -- Fathers Ringrose and Ortiz.

  • I agree with Father Ringrose & Ortiz but I strongly disagree with his pessimism.

AS CATHOLICS WE ARE OBLIGED TO PRAY FOR THE POPE. Why didn't he say that? AS CATHOLICS WE ARE OBLIGED TO PRAY FOR THE POPE!!! He could, he might change. Watch the videos of him saying the Novus Ordo. Yes, it is pretty discouraging. But he says the Novus Ordo with devotion! This is a pope much like Saint Paul. "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?" This pope may be doing what he does because he truly believes it is the right thing. If he has a pure heart God could send him a miracle conversion much the same as Saint Paul. AND WE HAVE TO PRAY FOR HIM. Let's quit thinking on the natural plane. It's God's Church and nothing good is impossible for God.

"Watch and Pray"--- He could have expanded on that.

Go to this website and scroll down a little. AN EXCELLENT article on this current Pope. Take courage folks and start praying for the Pope. Right now I have more hope in this pope than I do for Bishop Fellay. Maybe I'll be utterly disappointed when it's all said and done. Maybe not. And don't forget which SSPX bishop was in Argentina. If Pope Francis converts I think I know who he will be calling on for help.

  • We would be poor Catholics indeed if we cease to believe and hope in miracles and the intervening power of the Holy Ghost in the darkest and seemingly most impossible of times.

Do you guys really think Dr White is a man who needs to be told about miraculous precedents converting popes, or the need to pray for them?

    Exasperating.

It is a BIG mistake to put all your hopes and trust in a person because they have a title before their name. Know your Faith, Study your catechism. Don't rely on another person to do it for you. To promote prayer for the Pope is the best thing we can do right now. Not pessimism

His first (Sunday) sermon did say that if you do not pray to Jesus Christ you pray to the Devil!!!

Not a big deal. He contradicts himself every time he goes into a ѕуηαgσgυє and prays with the Jєωs.

You're forgetting that these mixed-bad modernists who do something Traditional one minute and something liberal the next, are exactly what Pope St. Pius X warned us about in his encyclical "Pascendi Dominici Gregis".

I agree that we should pray for Francis, but God gives people a free will. You're being rather overly optimistic if you think he's going to convert just because people pray for him.

  • People need to understand that God will save the Church.
He will do that in His own way.

We do not need a Five Star Heretic like Francis I.
He is just a burden to Catholics.

Francis I is obviously not the chosen instrument of God to save the Catholic Church.

    Francis I is a Heresiarch.

    God will save the Church.
How He will do that, is not yet shown to us unworthy sinners.

Francis is an Antipope. Pray that God will grant us a good Pope and save the Church.
I abjure and retract my schismatic support of the evil CMRI.Thuc condemned the Thuc nonbishops
"Now, therefore, we declare, say, determine and pronounce that for every human creature it is necessary for salvation to be subject to the authority of the Roman Pontiff"-Pope Boniface VIII.
If you think Francis is Pope,do you treat him like an Antipope?

On this point I would refer to the testimony of the Roman stigmatist, Antonio Ruffini. Pope Pius XII authorized the blessing of a chapel on the spot where Ruffini received the stigmata on the Via Appia, and Father Tomaselli, the miracle worker, wrote a booklet about him — a short account of the life of Ruffini. I myself knew Ruffini for many years. In the early 1990s Ruffini was asked point blank in his home: "Is John Paul II the Pope who is going to do the Consecration of Russia?" He answered: "No, it’s not John Paul. It will not be his immediate successor either, but the one after that. He is the one who will consecrate Russia." That is, Benedict’s successor, during this time of world war and persecution of the Church, will be the one to do the Consecration at long last, and then the restoration and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart will begin.

Even if Francis is the one who Consecrates Russia, it would be God and Our Lady who save and restore the Church, not Francis.

Nevertheless, I hope he does Consecrate Russia.

  • How sad today for the novus ordo Catholic, they receive their new Pope, and must now pray for his conversion to the Catholic Church.

I wish you could hear yourself!

Yes, we should pray for all sinners, even Obama and all leaders of the world, they all need prayers.  Pray for your children and all your loved ones for it is the Will of God that all men are saved.
    Please pray for my soul.
