A FEW PRELIMINAQRY THOUGHTS ON THE ELECTION OF FRANCIS AS POPE
Facts about the newly elected pope's prior actions lead one to believe that he is at least as far left as John Paul II, and perhaps even farther to the left, and surely more left than Benedict XVI. From his ecuмenical gestures and his liturgical aberrations to his reluctance to allow the implementation of Summorum Pontificuм in his diocese, just to name a few things, we can expect a continued descent from what is truly Catholic, to a new level of post-Vatican II "development." One thing for sure, it shows how naive they are, who think things are getting better in the Vatican and that Rome is returning to Tradition. The Cardinals who elected Francis were in place when Bishop Fellay was ready to surrender the SSPX to the Vatican. Watch and pray -- to borrow a phrase.
