  • Recall that Rorate Caeli "broke" the news on the Episcopal Consecration.  Then they said whoever talked about it on or off-line, would have to mention them as the source.  It was hilarious.  I know of more than a handful of people in my state and numerous people in my country that new long before Rorate Caeli of the specific date and even members of this forum.  Then they tried to prohibit the speaking of the news without mentioning them as a source.  That's like claiming exclusive rights to information.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Can anybody explain how this kind of came out of the blue following the announcement a few months ago that the bishop of Argentina would be excommunicating SSPX priests and even faithful? This was supposed to be with Pope Francis' approval. How and why the big turnabout all of a sudden? It just strikes me a little strange, and I thought it might somehow be pertinent to the conversation.

  • It was a different bishop so it's all cool.  Francis can have one bishop attack and the other placate. Kind of like good cop/bad cop except with a bad pope (Francis) "good" pope (Benedict) looking over.
