  • I was recently listening to a conference from 2000 about Cardinal Pie given by a SSPX priest who is also a seminary professor. It was a magnificent conference detailing the relevance of Cardinal Pie's anti-revolutionary thought. At one point, the priest explained that Cardinal Pie's mentor believed that in the face of revolution the Church must be militant, it must be at war, it must fight! Bravo!

And then this same priest years later (12 to be exact) writes an article about the "economy of silence." Perhaps I am arguing apples and oranges or taking things out of context but to me there seems a very different approach to the revolution taking place within the Church. Where is the militancy of the SSPX? Where is the outrage at the recent ecuмenical meeting in the Vatican Gardens?

Since when are we supposed to accommodate revolutionaries?

Since orthodoxy gave way to expediency.

  • I agree with obscurus. The days of pray pay and obey are over.
In fact they never were. It was only by the bold preaching of the Apostles and diciples that the church survived, yet Catholics have become content to sit on their ass while civilization falls apart.
They sometimes do protests but without providing an alternative for people to support it is in vain.
They sometimes to public prayer, ignoring that God never grants a prayer for something we can do with our own hands. He wants us to take back Christendom. We are his tools for that task. Yet people on this forum want to sit back and just live the easy life, not wanting to take on such a struggle, not wanting to imitate St James and St Thomas and St Paul, saying that only God can solve this crisis. Well! If we listen to these words then Catholicism will be annihilated. We have been pushed to the brink of extermination exactly because of this nonsense. I sometimes wonder whether there are secret enemies of the church, freemasons and marxists, who want to destroy us, who proliferate such stupid nonsensical ideas for us to take as our own. The question we have to ask ourselves is "What am I doing personally to ensure that the true faith survives?" If the answer is "nothing", then my point is clear, although to stubborn idiots it will not be clear.

    Soulguard--

You are changing your tune again!!
Don't you remember which party line you're supposed to support?
    Remember the Great Debate?
It was your challenge-- Bring it on!! Stop this useless waste
of words you undertake. Make the arrangements with your mentor Fellay
and let's get on with the debate!

  • The SSPX has been rebranded and neutered.
