  • Apparently, nobody saw this so I will post it here...

The following photos were taken from the site Syllabus.  They are also available on the official site of the SSPX/Spain (here).  The artwork is terribly and strikingly modernistic and seemingly masonic.  The church itself appears to be something more like a nightclub, though we should wait until it is finished, the façade indicates this as well.  When put in juxtaposition with the atrocious art of the Vatican 2 sect, there is little or no difference.  The SSPX has picked up the new trend of creating images of the Virgin, (if indeed we can call it that) out of junk and scrap metal.  Bishop De Galarreta appears smiling in the pictures.

The Neo-SSPX needed a tasteless scrap metal rendering of the Virgin in order to reflect their new position.

You can see more photos at this site with links...  the egg story is intersting...it comes from a gnostic sect that has a different story of the begining of the world which deals with Fanes, the light that came forth from the egg that the Night created.  Scary stuff...
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • This link explains the egg if you can read Spanish or the translator works well...

  • I saw this before.  It is shocking.  It may be a small site but they certainly could have/should have done better.

    How does a "translator" work?

    In this image,

we are given a living exhibit, an interactive display intended to evoke from us an expectation to think of how we would like to step through the circular portal into the imaginary land of reconciliation.  The faux rood screen is punctuated with SSPX logos which are laser-cut into the thick metal, so they cannot be obscured (easily) with graffiti or other vandalism.  This is to say that the way toward regularization is forged already and it's just now a matter of stepping through the portal into the wonderland beyond, for all who dare to venture into the "bright new wonderful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day..."

Count yourself fortunate to have come to this realization before it's too late.

I pity the tens of thousands of loyal supporters who will no doubt be sucked into the undercurrent of this sinking vessel because they're too reluctant to put a safe distance between themselves and the foundering mother ship.

Let me know if I'm out of touch or whatever, but I don't think I am.

It's hard for me to imagine how the Traditional Latin Mass will be at home in such a setting as this:

     http://brasildogmadafe.blogspot.com.br/2015/11/the-disgusting-new-church-being-built.html

Okay, so it's not finished yet so how can I be so sure, etc.?

I have enough experience in construction to know a Modernist interior under development when I see one.  This one shot is sufficient for me.  They're squarely headed for a Masonic Meeting Hall environment here.

They might start out with a TLM but this place is headed for something much different, perhaps some kind of NovusOrdo hybrid something-or-other.

Please tell me if this picture...

...doesn't remind you of this picture:

Spanish architect Rafael Moneo designed Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral.

I don't know which site you are referring to but the Brazil one is mine.  What do you mean it should have done better?  Obviously the subject is the pictures and not my comments.  The reader can make his own judgement.  Your criticism is very vague and stands alone on this thread, so how about being more specific or offering some sort of advice other than "they should do better"...

Most people know what an automatic page translator is, so this comment also seems sarcastic and unwarranted.

I have no need to post or get views.  The site serves me better as posting prayers and other non-controversial things to aide in our spiritual life.  These petty attitudes are the exact opposite...so I think I'll focus on what benefits my spiritual life more...not food for thought for smart alecs.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Another step in the wrong direction for the SSPX.

When I see those pictures, all I can think of is this.....

"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

The Highest Principle in the Church: "We are first of all under obedience to God, and only then under obedience to man" - Fr. Hesse
